Air conditioning and heating companies or specialists service much more than just the average home's air conditioning system. Gas appliances, such as stoves and even water heaters, are usually serviced by these professionals. When dealing with any gas appliances or supply, due to the risk and dangers of gas, home owners should rely on these services companies for specialty needs such as this.

I dont understand one thing why only a high salaried or a person at a gud post gets all facilities. For eg..membership @clubs, banks, gud housing, education for kids. ..all this a gud salaried can get for himself. People who hv everything keep getting more. If actually u see it ...the low income guys shd also be previleged at least to certain extent. As they hardly get to save or spend much on themselves.

One could look at it another way.

The powers that be have issued this list to placate the locals knowing full well that most of the expats don't come under any of these categories..

This is a good move for reducing traffic congestion but for taxis and karwa bus to be effective Gov't. should place a terminal point not only in Doha central but on places like Abu Hamor, Al Maamora, Al Hilal etc. of getting a transport is very difficult even if your calling the karwa call center it takes 15-20 mins waiting before they arrive..

Rip Cord, I think those categories mentioned have a lower obesity, heart attack and diabetes problem. It is us driving vehicles who get it.

By Sulieman• 27 Aug 2013 09:00

Rip Cord ,, The most of people in this categories are slims :(

I think now they will disappear

By happygolucky• 27 Aug 2013 08:59
happygolucky

I guess they can also get rid of the stigma of family days...they can take off their transport vehicles off the road on fridays and so no worker would be able to walk from IA to the malls in the heat or otherwise.

By Rip Cord• 27 Aug 2013 08:54
Rip Cord

I think we all fail to see the postives in this, workers will now walk to work and this will show positive health benefits. Less obesity, less heart attacks and less diabetes.

Well except for the locals who will just get fatter.

By britexpat• 27 Aug 2013 08:50
britexpat

A laudable initiative. It will reduce congestion on the roads and ensure that those under these categories are driven to and from their place of work by their sponsors.

Is it allowed to call 911 if I urgently has to meet someone or to board a flight?

By knor• 27 Aug 2013 08:44
knor

As if qatar is providing enough buses for the public.

i think this is the only country in GCC that a public transportation is not adequate enough. minimal taxis at the roads, waiting for a bus is just like waiting for the rain to come.

By landloverreview• 27 Aug 2013 08:44
landloverreview

It would be a reasonable step if they make it legalise after they finish metro and have proper public transport.

Most of the time if you call Karwa they are booked already "Sorry sir we are booked till so and so hours" damn.

Rip Cord ,, Good point, You can't fine mosques everywhere and some times you can find one but it is too hot to walk by there

And BTW Living in Qatar without a car is bullsh!t, If i didn't have friends here i would face many problems and there are no taxis, you just see them in your dreams or in photos (you have on solution - Private driver) and now it won't be available anymore
