i think old experience is just going back to do the same old policies of bush., him lacking experience is a good thing, because he is not corrupted by the Bush policies and he will bring new ideas and policies...
in his administration, and i trust his judgment in surrounding himself with the right people more than W. i agree he lacks experience but i think he has other attributes that will help negate this.

in my opinion, the Americans are very optimistic on how this young fellow (Obama) could make a difference on their lives.. like foods, they wanted to try something different, the only difference is, they have to swallow it even if it taste aweful at the end... besides, they'll get used to it and hope to try another on the next election...

i think the chances of him being assassinated are slim. not to say there won't be attempts (not so long since reagan got shot) but i think SS will keep him safe. some of them might prefer McCain, but it would still be a disgrace to have POTUS shot on your watch.
as for promises, we'll have to see what kind of a senate he ends up with. he needed 9 more democrats to have 60 in total, which would mean the dems could do what they want (assuming they could agree on what they want).
another problem is he inherits a country with no money.
but, he brings hope and confidence, which can't hurt.

A) afraid he will get assassinated, which is a VERY likely possibility given that the FBI has uncovered two attempts on his life already.

C) Bush will do irreparable damage in his last 3 months.

That's why it's historic. A people who were held down for centuries, who were used and abused. Degraded and beaten.
