Possibly moving to Qatar

Hi, i am a single, 30 year old American thinking about moving to Qatar for work. I am wondering if this would be a good idea or not, what sorts of things are there to do and is it safe?

Key here...your single. Comments from couples and families will be positive because the nature of the culture and activities is welcoming towards these individuals. And yes it is very good. HOWEVER, from my single female friends, they say it was a good experience and all is well but after there 2 year contract they will leave or have left. A bit boring, clausterphobic, lonely, a bit limiting on single nice guys.

Now don't shoot the messenger, its what I've heard by people I respect.

I'll be relocating to qatar with my family from Australia. I've been to Qatar a few times & so far it seems like a lovely place with great people & very safe. So i wouldn't worry if i were you!

I am married, I love it here, from a safety point of view I can tell you that, compared to the UK, I have never felt more respected or more safe. It is a wonderful place to live, I am so happy, you will have to ask others about the social life though. Good luck and you will be very welcome here. The QL Social Group will look after you!
