so entwined with yourself....must be so hard to be in love yourself.

Rumor has it that you are almost incomprehensible in person (as revealed by your desperate urge to babble here in QL) No doubt, this rumor is true.

What possessed you to think that you were capable of being entertaining or interesting to read?

If there's a lot of ideas in your head, it'll be in solitary confinement. You must have a very large brain to hold such a vast amount of sheer ARROGANCE. Anyway, who was talking to you or even taking you under consideration?

However, you bring to mind a quote from Josh Billing: "Doesn't know much, but leads the league in nostril hair."...so when I want your monkey-brained opinion I'll rattle your cage, okay?

In closing, I helpfully suggest that you support your local Search & Rescue Unit, and get lost.

inggit ka lang azi. maybe that's how they made you for working as what, a call center agent?

again i say, i'm not against filipinos per se. i'm just against how they think "as filipinos". i simply want to be different for a good cause... no manana habit, no crab mentality, no bahala na habit, no pwede na yan habit, & certainly not someone who has a disillusioned concept about democracy such as street politics.

i do not hate myself for being born as a filipino & i'm proud of that. i'm just not so proud about what's happening to today's filipinos...

if you step into my world, you'll see the difference between yours. can you for example decide to leave doha tonight & come back the next day? i guess not. in your case, you have to beg your employer who for some reasons is keeping your passport??? be real azi & don't be envious on filipinos who lept & made a big difference.

the passport do not in anyway describe your identity. to me, its only a means of travel.

but thanks anyway, i just loved these discussions with you as i did with several other filipinos. baluktot talaga ang katuwiran nyo (many filipinos have distorted reasoning) & have excuses for evrything & these, are the people i so love to hate.

please, go back to kharwa & take all their calls.

the itialian's comment was 5% insult & 95% praise. at that moment, i was only pround of who i am & for what i have achieved in front of their eyes.

see this, the whole philippines is a country influenced by everything foreign. the educational system, the religion, the political system, economic system etc etc. all of them came from foreign policy makes, educators, economist & industrialist. there's nothing really out there that is original filipino? right? the reality is if not for foreigners, perhaps filipinos will be mostly tribal people living in villages & with abundant but untapped natural resources right under their noses... of which by the way, were mined by foreign companies. take the pineapple in davao. for hundreds of years filipinos didn't realized its huge potential... until DOLE stepped in & made it a million dollar industry with filipinos at the far end of the revenues in terms of only what? menial jobs???

you see dmigtysolomon, being influenced by foreign culture doesn't automatically make you lose your identity but in fact, enhances it by making you a lot more globally competetive. embrace the world!

Thank GOD for you to recognize what this TROLL won’t see.

He’s a “PROUD” person (VAIN would be the right word) but he is not a FILIPINO because:

1.He didn’t grew up in the Philippines

2.He’s carries a BRITISH passport (and working on his 3rd)

3.He went to the Phils island not as a FILIPINO but as a PART of foreign group aiding the less fortunate. And THAT made him feel good…BRAVO!!!

What is so obvious is this :

- If you track his posts/topics here in QL, all is about how BAD FILIPINOS ARE. He got nothing to say better than give NEGATIVE COMMENTS about the FILIPINOs…

- and yet he said he cared so much that he wants “US” to change for the BETTER…Quite disheartening coz if this is his way of making himself known…he did it with flying colors…only it rubbed the wrong way.

- TRUMPETING (I like that word) HIMSELF that HE IS THIS AND THAT, HE DID THIS AND THAT, HE WENT THERE AND THAT….eeeeewwww????

- MOST IMPORTANT (ADMIT IT OR NOT)… HE HATES (let’s say…EMBARRASSED) the fact that he belongs to the "pathetic, disillusioned" FILIPINO RACE and there’s nothing he could do about it. Changing his nationality won’t change his race, right? He HAS a BRITISH/WHATEVER citizenship…but he could never be one of THEM.

It must be very lonely being HIM…

have a nice day, dmigty...cheers :-)

just a little hope for you. Mentioning the Italian thing, it seems that that you are now "falling" to our little own way of being PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO.

What is exactly your feeling at that precise moment, NOT PROUD? Did you not get a little bit angry when he told that our only capability is to clean toilets?

The Mindanao thing, you're working with US-AID, wow, that sounds FOREIGN. Are you not influenced by their policy or ways of management. Were your identity lost for working with multinationals? Don't keep yourself isolated, Alecs, it's not healthy for you!!!!!!!!

here you go again avoiding my issues... cut that humility virtues & all. it's all baseless & useless when you live in this practical world. people who have so much frustrations & desparation, mask themselves with this poetic image of themselves. so soap operatic i may add...

you see azi, life is indeed cruel & unfair if you haven't noticed. no matter how much humility you've got, it will not do you any good... stop fantasizing about life & all that slum-book ideas of yours. get real!

by the way, i never considered myself "lucky". i worked so hard for all the gains that i have. my successes aren't random events but i made it happen by simply recognizing that life, is actually real. i know for a person like you, you're just waiting to "be lucky".

i never said you wrote it. what i said was you're trumpeting & spreading articles that do not have the true meaning of inspiration. so azi, what inspires you & have you been reaching your aspirations in life???

or you're still wondering what's life gonna be for you in the next five years...?

By alecscotland• 24 Jun 2008 20:52

while working with US-AID, i volunteered to be assigned in several provinces in mindanao mostly lanao del norte. we did a lot of community service there inlcuding several micro-financing programs & scholarships. what we did helped their local economy by simply teaching them how to help themselves.

even today i'm still communicating with several people there giving free consultation on how to run their businesses. there are more but i can't discuss work issues publicly.

and oh, let's not forget how i trumpet my filipino identity wherever country i go. at one time in italy, i was in charge of a business unit & one italian subordinate told me "i thought you filipinos can only clean toilets?" this is because he's at awe that a filipino can lead a group of europeans. that's like waving the filipino flag in front of them.

how about you fiery, have you made any significant contributions for your country?

I certainly do not mean what I said...

I am just making a point or example for Mr. Mahammad. I said, "If this is how you think of Filipini..."

You might consider re-reading his unsolicited comment first.

Thank you.

Me and my wife are just lucky that my maid is decent so we pity to send her home instead we find her a decent sponsor to move. My friends Filipini maids behave like a prostitutes when they go to work or on holiday their maids bring man in their sponsors house. this must be the reason alecscotland is ashamed of his Filipini people because everywhere they go they do prostitution everywhere.

continue to aspire for true pinoy greatness... greatness more than the 7,100 islands can offer. but greatness can only be found if "we" (filipinos) embrace the globalized culture & what it has to offer & in return, contribute in global standards.

HE IS TIRED making them pinoys (HE DIDN'T INCLUDE HIMSELF, BUT OF COURSE)understand the contents of HIS ideas...

YOU KNOW WHAT, since you have that WEBSITE of yours that you keep bragging about, why don't you just stay there and LEAVE US BE....

WE'RE NOT STUPID, WE'RE VERY MUCH AWARE of everything you want to TEACH US. But instead of making us EMBRACE your ideals/ideas..you MOCK us for being what we are.

I DON'T ENVY YOU OR ONE BIT JEALOUS OF WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED IN YOUR LIFE...Kahit hanggang POEA lang ang naabot ko...I never asked for anyone's help to go abroad. How about you? If it wasn't for your parents' perseverance, determination and ambition, you wouldn't be where you are.

One of the Filipino's known character is HUMILITY...ba't wala ka nun? It's because you were brought up in a different place...away from where your true roots were.

SO, PLEASE...If you're TIRED of US being ANTAGONISTIC TO YOU, your views, your ideas etc...STOP ANTAGONIZING AND PUTTING US DOWN. It is far too embarrasing for "us" to have someone like you around...

Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT ANGRY with you or would take this on a personal level. I know you don't give a DAMN ...but I don't think you'll be welcomed in any group here in QL for your actuations....

many filipinos here in QL hate me for i am a filipino who aspire for true greatness of being a filipino. to me, a true great filipino is not someone who won the boxing champ, guested at ophra, or even being an OFW or "bagong bayani" makes you a true great filipino.

i am really tired of making them pinoys understand the contents of my ideas for everytime i post something, they turn around & leave the subject while posting their hate & anger as their counter response. they have excuses & reasons for everything except about the subject that i've presented. they just couldn't accept the truth... the truth about filipinos is very well said at www.getrealphilippines.com.

for me & my future children, i will continue to aspire for true pinoy greatness... greatness more than the 7,100 islands can offer. but greatness can only be found if you embrace the globalized culture & what it has to offer & in return, contribute in global standards.

i am hoping to see the day where filipinos are recognized as true great achievers... & not for what filipinas do in japan.

This article is a FEEL GOOD ARTICLE meant to inspire...not for us to gloat about. The problem with some individual (unfortunately in this case a filipino), immediately deduced that the I, for one is/was bragging about Filipinos being indispensible.

BELIEVE ME, NO ONE IS INDESPENSIBLE...

Apart from the last two paragraphs which i disagree with, don't you think what he's saying is correct ?

I perhaps would not put India in the category, but developing nations have a right to learn to stand on their own feet and to do away with corruption and nepotism.

Its only from within that change can occur!
