I joined a trading company 6-7 months back. The moment they hired me our company position not much good so they offered me a very low salary as I was also making my come back to office after few years at home so I accepted it.I saw that everybody is busy in net browsing all the time but not bringing business to company at all.I took the initiative and started working hard on marketing part.after few weeks only my company got a very good order because of my hard work.Till than my company got almost 27-28 big orders with. Y continuos liaison ing and too much hard work and back in shape. My Manager never gives me credit and no increase in salary even but he promised me  that he will give me commission and raise which he is not giving. What should I do? Should I apply for a new job? The comapny which gave me job in my bad time is it ok to leave them? I know I am very good in marketing and liaisoning but what to do when they r not giving me due credit ?

This is the main problem here in Qatar :9 I am 37 years old and I got this job after several failed attempts in interviews becoz now a days they are maximum time looking for young Filipino girls only :( This job I got with the help of my neighbor who's brother was working in this company. Now if I leave this job I will never get a job again :( despite of the fact that I have a very good work experience.

I suppose, your colleagues have already experienced your situation and that is why they surf the net rather than put in effort to get business.

Agreed with Achabacha..:).its said that love your job but never love your company as you dont know when your company will stop loving you,at that point only the love in your job would have given you enough experience to find alternative..sweet words and a letter of appreciation would never help you.its the no of 500s, who would make your future so go and explore the world..:)

In your case there is clash between financial gains and conscience. Keep in mind two things: All of us are here for money and we should earn as much as we can while the opportunity is there. Secondly, since the company does not appreciate your contributions at this stage, you can very well guess what it would be it's course of action in future. If you get a better job which brings in the extra cash for your hard work, you should go for it. Remember, a company is good to you as long as you are giving it some returns for the salary it pays you. Once they feel they can replace you, they will never think twice and all your contribution will be put to the wind. You will of course receive some very appreciative words at the time of exiting the company, but that is all you will get. You need money to help your children grow, not sweet words!
