B'coz of in the process of my visa his bank satatement will be needed. Is it true? and this offer is good for him? Please advise me. We are really confused. B'coz we have no idea about Doha. I'm working here. Can I get a job after reaching there? Is Doha is safe place for ladies?

6500 is like giving penauts. he should be asking for 16500 plus all the other benefits.

i remmeber simple B.Com people in Qatar are getting 6500.

Voltage Electricals is a rich company. negotiate for more

Hi Chumki,

Exit permit is a necessity for the person who is working. In case of emergencies it can be arranged by the employer. No need of exit permit for you if you are under husband sponsorship and not working.

Qatar is having a two year entry ban so it is not easy to change jobs frequently. If the current employer gives an NOC then only you can shift to another company, however it rarely happens.

hi shreeya

Thanks for ur suggestion. For how many yrs u r in Doha? Can u tell me about exit permit visa rule. Is it necessary to all? If there is any urgency in family and whatsoever, is it ready at any time? or for exit permit visa we should wt for that before leaving the country? Is it required for me also? What exactly the rule. Please advise. Have a nice evening...

word of caution.

whatever they promise and give on teh contract now stands as the legal document. whatever is promised verbally is almost null and void and you cant hold onto it.

so if they promise they will increase the salary later, it may happen or may not. its a chance to take, depending upon the company and how they deal with increments or bonuses.just dont accept a figure now in the hope that they will increase it later.

come here on a good salary, so you dont feel cramped or frustrated at a later stage. look at all you committments.

and doha isnt like mumbai at all, its a laid back place, slightly on the quieter. dubai is fast like mumbai.

i agree with shreeya.

but doha isnt like dubai at all.

doha is safe for women.

whoever if you are in a good job in mumbai, dont rush and leave it to come here. jobs are competitive here and you can end up getting frustrated.

regarding the salary: did you mention kids too?

thats additional expense and important one too.

6500 is a bit low, for his years of experience and qualification, 8000+, 8K being the minimum.if they are giving you a furnished villa(which is excellant), they are still capable of renogiating the basic figure. just dont be too hasty or demanding while trying for a higher figure.

since car is paid for, then its mainly groceries and utilities you need to look at.

even then, you will save.

for your rp, dont know about the bank statement, but once your hubby has his visa, he can get you here on a visit visa and simulataneously apply for your rp. thats how its usually done. dont necessarily need to wait for 6 months.

Chumki...

Can you further negotiate with them? See, from 6500/- your monthly expenses will be around 1500-2000 Qr. You said that you will be getting electricity, but what about water? Normally here water bill is as much as 4 times the electricity bill. Monthly water charges can be around 200-400 QR. I think you should get at least 8500/- QR. But also consider what are you getting in India. And whether the savings which you envisage are meeting your expectations. All the best.

Doha is just a small version of Dubai and totally safe for ladies.

How many years of experience does he have? Villa and car etc are ok but the salary is very low for such a highly qualified person. He should at least get 12000/- QR as basic and other benefits extra. Mind well housing here is very very expensive. So it is better to get the house arranged from the company.

Pls note that the offer includes 6500 QR + furnished accomadation + electricity + vehicle with fuel & maintanance etc to be borne by the company.Do u think that the offer is fair enough. Moreover they promised that the same is going to be revised within 6 months depending on the performance.
