pissed off...

Have you not found yourself wanting to cuss the slow Starbucks barista, or pound your fist when the internet is down, or glare at the driver who cut your line? Why are we so impatient, angry, and hostile? With the grind of the economy and the pressure to stay afloat, not to mention the hot summer sun, it’s safe to say most of us have a shorter fuse these days. As goes the Zen proverb, “Avoid one moment of anger, and you will avoid 100 days of sorrow."

for that I need to be steped down, which is usually useless in a place like this.

I am fine as 220v.

I'm not really fond of tattoos unless it's like one of urs which obviously looks gud only on u.

I even like the 1s done by the side of the lower front,, beside the belly point,, soo adorable!!!

with a half sleeved (not sleevless) t-shirt ,, short enough and the jeans low enough with a big buckle.

I used to moonlight as a receptionist/front of house for a tattoo studio in the States when I was in college. That's what the tatt is called. We did hundreds of 'em until they fell out of favour. Most girls treat tattoos the way they do bags. It was LV for a long while and none could tell you precisely why. Same with the trampstamp, every girl had to have one. Then a few years later they'd come for a full backpiece that would cover up the trampstamp so business was great :)

By wacky_baby• 4 Sep 2009 01:00

trampstamp eh, crap? how informative...

By crapcircle• 4 Sep 2009 00:51

IT'S CALLED A TRAMPSTAMP KTHNXBYE :D

It used to be a de rigeur tattoo for girls a few years back. Today it's up there with spinners and diamond encrusted mouthpieces or "grills", as an emblem of fashion of a time already past :D

i really do have a short fuse these days...i used to be very understanding and very patient but now even the slightest things agitate me. i just can't take it when someone is so slow to do things or to understand. like you were explaining for 30 mins and all you get is a dumb look or expression and you just wanted to screaaaaaaam! whew! must be the weather lol

agree but I am so sick of everyone feeling sorry and making excuses for these people. The weh-weh crap (no offense) of how unfortunate they are etc seems to make it ok to do a poor job. This is not just here it is everywhere. It's like the minimum wage BS in the states, now the adults will never leave their menial jobs because they keep getting raises from the liberals. Now the kids have no where to work because these wankers don't care and will never improve themselves.

I don't think we need to do anything in the name of God, he's a big boy and can take of himself.

That's simply impossible mate. While fast food joint service people here (and I count Starsucks and similar as the same, same pay, same product more or less) get paid more or at least as much compared to their colleagues in the USA, this is not exactly fertile ground for such labour, hence all these people have visas, tickets, and other stuff that the employer had to sort out, so replacing them isn't as simple as hanging a "now hiring" sign. I would presume these lamers are fully aware of the situation and will continue to exploit it. Short of writing letters that no one will read, the only option is to voice your discontent on the internet, or to boycott places with bad service altogether...

good service when I go to a counter to purchase or pay for something and not have too wait for some dullard ignoring me while he/she talks on the cell phone or yacks with another employee or friend, I also expect some courtesy from other drivers. I think we have become so complacent with crap service and so politically correct that our standards have been lowered to the bottom of the barrel. I don't think anyone's country of origin or financial status gives them the right to be ignorant or disrespectful. If you aren't smart enough to use a cash register or understand what the customer wants then get a different job. Maybe if a few more people got pi$$ed off and said something the crap would stop.

I don't think we need to do anything in the name of God, he's a big boy and can take of himself.

Starbucks sucks hard here. The menu is a far cry from it's US counterpart. Even there, I never went to Star*ucks, they're a bunch of zionist rascals and their product is decidedly subpar.

I go to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, the product is identical to what I was used to in the States, and so are the prices, the ambiance is incomparably better as well.

I never get mad when the internet goes down because I am not paying a penny for it ;)

I don't drive here either, well I haven't yet. If I did I would probably infuriate some with my kind behaviour...

wonder what triggers the temper problem 'these days' ..

is it really the sun, humidity, ramadan or.. things like..

interviews in march, outcomes in december

blocked toilet/broken a/c, solution: new house

4x4 cars, feeling of ownership of roads

etc etc

....away from home....from family.....and then mixed kind of experiences (sometimes nice, sometimes racist, sometimes exploited), terrible traffic. Together, can turn any normal person into a synnical or pessimist one. When we behave bad with someone...its because of the frustration and nothing else...(em talking about the expatriaates only)

And then....last but not the least...we are fasting.

You really need to watch that movie -- as soon as Ramadan is over if you don't watch movies during.

BTW, did you see The Hunting Party? Great film about the hunt for a Serbian war criminal that was subverted by parties within the NATO forces. True story but also a funny movie. :-)

patience and ability to supress anger is great but this is not to say anger is bad. Yes we get angry and blow things out of proportion, but it is justified most of the time. A driver who cut my line, could kill me and showing him/her how angry you are make ppl think next time before they do something stupid.
