Philippine nationals and house sharing

Mercia
By Mercia

What is it with philippine people, they wont share with anyone outside their nationality.  It bugs me when I am searching the classified and read a good one and then see Pinoys only. Why?

So kamusta dude? Hey, youre the one who replied to me on the filexpat thread, thanks again. Its really great you have youre wife with you--nakakalungkot kasi kung wala, and i've heard that its one of the problems in Qatar;loneliness. So how's it goin man? Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet my fellow "nice smelling" kabayans who dont smell like onions. O sige men, ingat lagi, I'm off to bed, mag 11 PM na kasi eh.

But sure, as long as the smelly is good right. Dont really care if its 100x, as long as the end result is great. Axe body shower has been good to me.

When I was there in Oct, since the place I left from was freezing, I was taking 2-3 showers a day and lots and lots of robitussin.

Bakamuna, r u fil?

After a hard day of work, sometimes you just want to go "home" to a familiar and understanding place of refuge. When there are problems arising from back home, you want folks around that actually understands what you are going thru. Sometimes, foreigners do not really grasp the burdens of the responsibilities filipinos have to carry to keep their families at home liveable.

Sense of humor is most often the same. Plus, we do smell good. OH yeah, beleive it--yup yup.

to choose who's to be with. same goes to accommodation as sed above.

hav u ever thought why u wud end up choosing place wer u c pinoys only? hmmm... and u even sed when reading classifieds ul find it a "good one", i wonder, why not other nationalities have pass ur standards of place?

and so, not even filipinos prefer to be with their kind, same goes to other nationalities as well, again as sed above (look more on d classified and ul c also other nationalities prefer their kind not just filipinos alone)

and to answer why it is mentioned "pinoys only", i guess they do love their own kind that being with somebody like their "kabayans" wud made them feel at home (easy to deal with and the likes).

and not just in the issue of hygiene.

For me, we've lived before along with a bangladesh, indians and now a jordanian... no big deal, really.

i guess, the one u c in classifieds jst prefer pinoys, that's all, u jst nid to look more than usual.

someonenew you are right..many other things are reason other than the bathing habbits..

plus only a phillipino would understand why the water bill is so much :)

I think, I'm sure not only Filipinos don't want to share outside their nationality! AM I RIGHT? americans? british? and japanese? hmmmmmmm I KNOW! SO DON'T FOCUS WITH FILIPINOS! WHY BOTHER?

I think its got more to do with safety and cooking habits. Its safer to be with people of your own community. Imagine if you're a vegetarian and you have to share a flatmate with somone who's staple food is sea food. I dont think you will be able to take the smell.

I agree with Neps. I remembered before I rented our flat to another nationality ( no need to mention where they came from coz I'm not racist) It was a fully furnished flat. When they finished their contract ewwwwwwwww disgusting the kitchen stinks, tiles became cream , carpet was messy lots of stains

during morning after lunch and before going to bed... its true thats why we're so proud of our smell! smells baby (LOL)

Actually during my work in Ras Laffan where we live in a new contructed building and the water is so dirty and yellowish i spent 5 to 7 liters of water just to take a shower for the morning work! I don't went to office without a bath even going out in malls.

water more water water and clean water..... glug glug glug

coz philipeenos are drinkig alot and having parties evry week almost and theyr cooking to much sea food thats why ther houses alwys very smilly like the indians and they dont want to shair ther food habitite with the ather nationaliyu they think it wont work hop its clear. thats happened with me also last year when i was looking for accomodations.

By bakamuna• 12 May 2008 18:06

i reminds me of a incident where i went to my staff acoomodation and saw a phillipino cooking..he was taking the fish and just cooking even without washing it with some fresh water..so i ask why dnt you wash..

He says its living in water and why should i wash more :)

filipinos are kinda vain...thats why we're taking bath 3-5 time daily..it is true... maybe it's part of our culture... filipinos are very acommodating... but i guess we just cant stand stinky peeps ( no offense)... one more reason (maybe) is food...

my life revolves around them... best gift ive ever had...

By bakamuna• 12 May 2008 18:04

3-5 baths per day..was wandering if you are working(in qatar you have to or be a housewife) how on earth you get time to do that..before work 2 baths and after work 3 baths every 1 hour :)

do you bath in offices also, other wise there is no way you can take 5 baths per day :)

By lipstick• 12 May 2008 18:03

Bottomline is -Filipinos don't stink like a fish.

hi mallrat.

By bakamuna• 12 May 2008 18:01

5 baths per day.. :) god mghozlan you are right the world will be less water if they continue like this..

but in case if a phillipino is posted in a country where there is with limited water what would happen? will you be taking 3-5baths per day or just one bath.

and does 3-5 baths per day make you smell nice, dsnt your work enviorment condition will be a factor for this.

By casanova• 12 May 2008 17:57

benchyrac, my opinion is not a language barrier really if one can speak english, not a cultural boundaries coz filipinos is adaptable, not an ethics coz we have a good ethics, YES A hygiene coz we always smells good 2-3 times bath, most important is safety COZ FILIPINOS ARE PRONE IN RAPE!
