Personal Life

I find it highly amusing that people air their dirty laundry in these forums on a day to day basis. Shouldn't personal life remain personal? Is this due to the fact that they are highly bored and out of their mind? Or is it because they have no friends to talk to in real life.

Is this the result of loneliness or just stupidity? Or do they crave attention or some other phenomena I'm missing out on?

in my case, it's coz of my loneliness only...though, I've a large friends circle...I wanted to go with this loneliness, as I am afraid of the distance that everyone has started developing...(everyone might be thinking like this...)

as for me,all i sought were some genuinely unbiased answers froma group of people i don't know...people i thought who will tackle the problem without taking into consideration the people involved in it.

"Is this the result of loneliness or just stupidity?" Yes stupid they are.

Personal life of a person is his own "property". Only weak, lonely, stupid people expose their personal life to public.

Also, beside loneliness and stupidity, is low self confidence and attention-seeking (lots of here in QL)

I personally feels those who does not have self

confidence and quite confused in making decisions; opt to take online support with anonymous/strangers; without knowing the credibility of such individuals :)

Sometimes, it is advisable to remain anonymous and ask sensitive personal questions and due to certain social taboo cases......to check around what is the general concensus in any given circumstances.

They feel more happy with cyber buddy/support.

It is all up to an individual as we all said; very much prerogative :)

naming and shaming them does not change anything...nor does it undo what they have done.and if i do so,that would make me no different from them.i'd rather remain dignified.i just hope they read this post and (even if it for a moment) feel regret for their deed.

Guys it's an open forum, and people can use it for what they like. If some people have no problems discussing personal issues on a public forum, more power to them. I don't see why it has to bother you? Personally I enjoy the more "personal" threads and I don't mind giving advise. If you don't like them deepb, stick to the funnies and the salary questions, but don't insult those people who do post them and like them. That just makes you sound pretentious.

if people know who's posting the personal Life issue , then it might cause the poster some problems ... but if they are online Forum mates Annonymous to each other... they can post personal life matters ... only to get another vision , another idea to solve an issue ... sarcasm does sound good at times.

a message to nobody in particular...in case anybody is trying to agitate me,i am afraid all attempts will fail.the svelte_saggi that existed until two days back is dead and gone.thanks for killing her.she was quite an object of extreme irritation for many on this forum and also a topic of discussion of many a QL soiree.i hereby apologise to any individual who has felt offended by any word or deed of mine.i was just being myself.i guess it's better to heed the words of many of the more wiser internet users and try being everything that i am not in the virtual world.guess that should make people happy :-) afterall, what bigger happiness exists than seeing somebody becoming happy and you being the reason for it,isn't it?

another humble request...please stop sending me offensive private messages.thank you.

Not all forums and threads are dirty clothes.I agree some are silly. As svelte saggi said, its all true. This site has really helped people and am one of them.I had a personal problem and I got help and encouranged here.

So if you read and you find it silly don't bother coz someone else might get help,an answer or encourangement from what seems to be silly to you. Now I will write about my Good News. Check the answers HIV symptoms.

and sometimes people post their personal problems in an attempt to get unbiased answers.confiding in a friend/relative will not always yield the right answer.with the shield of anonymity, you get answers from a larger crowd who does not know any person you are talking about.it is the problem they try to help you out with.not you.

and in some cases,it may be a situation where a friend or loved one is going through a problem and people approach an online forum to seek a solution as he/she sincerely wishes to help his/her friend but is totally lost trying to do so.

i have spoken for myself.

Sometimes the privilege of remaining anonymous is a bliss and people share their personal problems here just because of that. Thats what I think.

By deepb• 14 Feb 2010 15:15

Nope I'm not affected Kuquels. But its kinda annoying at times. Asking opinions from strangers about how you should deal in your personal life is not the best idea. Thats what a friend is supposed to be there for. That's my opinion at the very least.

Fo some people they needed other's opinion, while others are seeking attention, and etc. as u mentioned

Anyhow, to each his own reason as long as the MODS are allowing them to publish these things.

Why are u so affected? @ deepb
