New option for public transportation. Seeing the end then to monopoly....
Hi all, just wanted to share this much better alternative for needing public taxi service. FYI: I do not work for this company, or know anyone that does, just want to give public info. I came across this great new car hire and registered with them, this is the email info I recieved. I have not needed them yet, but for sure will use them.
Salam.
Cabz Cars: Cabz is a private cab company set-up to fill the gap we have identified in the market for the provision of good international standards limo/car transportation services in the country, that we have had the opportunity to know and experience internationally, particularly the United Kingdom.
To this aim, we have expended extensive efforts in putting in place high-tech Samsung navigation devices/ dispatch systems in all of our cars, manned with thoroughly trained, presentable, uniformed and well-spoken drivers, all to promote efficient, professional and affordable transportation services. All Cabz cars are therefore procured as new (fully insured) cars equipped with the latest state of the art devices linking them with both the customer and the Call Centre.
These devices assist in identifying the best route drivers should take and sets applicable tariffs to those routes, assigned by the Call Centre and not the drivers (see below). the standard cars for your reference (the new Kia Optima). We also have “Cabz Shuttle” which is the smart-looking 13-Seater Peugeot Boxer minibus shuttle (picture attached), you may find useful for group bookings and “CabzSeven”, the new 2012, 7-seater Chevrolet useful for airport transfers, picture also attached.
Location: Whilst Cabz main office/ main car base is located on Airport Road (next to the HSBC Building), to meet client needs swiftly, we also have bases all over Doha including; Westbay (Beach Tower), Lagoona Mall (being their exclusively appointed mall car transport service provider), Al Sadd and the Corniche.
Training: We pay tremendous attention to hygiene, safety and punctuality and have put in place a rigorous training program (across all boards) to achieve this. We have received outstanding feedback from customers so far and believe visitors to Qatar and your guests will find us useful, particularly those who are akin to good international standards. Our company including myself, is primarily managed by professional UK managers, bringing in a wealth of experience and professionalism to the table.
Bookings: Bookings are taken through our call centre specialists (alone) 24 hours/ 7 days a week on a dedicated booking line: 444 181 44, supported by 5 lines (& standby mobile lines: 55009752 & 55012905, which we request clients to keep with them if they face any technical problems getting through to our Call Centre) and a BB (Blackberry) Service – PIN21CDFAC8. To monitor quality, if bookings are taken through a driver directly, the driver is required to obtain authorisation through their assigned call centre specialist, who will only assign them the booking, if they are the closest driver to the desired pick-up location.
The Call Centre Specialist will then assign them with the booking, assist them with the most suitable route to take and provide them with the applicable tariff to collect from the customer – displayed on their car device visible by the customer.

I trust this has been helpful and I look forward to feedback if anyone has used this car hire before.
what a helpful post! hope it will improve the taxi 'crisis' in Doha. :)
guess trying to post something positive always turns some ppl wanting to turn it into something negative........... :S
THx
Am sure there will be quite a bit of "booing"....;)Maybe not from the call center though...:0
I can understand the call centre booing the cab and advising the passenger of the fare, but telling the driver which route to take is a bit much and probabl;y useless..
No, this is a private limo company british managed, there are alot of private limo companies around, so I do not think they can be shut them down by competitors with Qatari sponsorship.
That's just perfect....will definitely facilitate demand of taxis.....but hope this will not be shut down
