need someone to help me with basic french

Can anyone help me learn the absolute basics french? I can take admission in one of those programs in the british council but I want to build a little base before that. I just want to get the basic phrases down before I dive in. Any help with this will be appreciated.

ending with "tion" as "syon" and you will do just fine!

I suggest you check the site that Kareena suggested. Also I would not go to the British council to study french. The French council would be better suited, no? Also French is a very hard language to learn and needs many many years of study.
