My X-mas wish.....

CHRISTMAS WISH?

If I could have one Christmas wish?

Then I know for sure my wish is this:

Please stop the suffering of our long nosed friend,

That remains to continue but never ceases to end.

Please stop the abuse, the cruelty and hate,

And just open the doors of the friendship gate.

Their sorrowful eyes have been through too much,

Their hearts just longing for an arm or a touch.

For someone to love them, and hold them for life,

So they are no longer scared of a blade from the knife.

So they don’t meet their death at the end of a rope,

As long as we care, for most there is hope.

Some are afraid, silent, timid and shy,

All for good reason…The question remains WHY?

How can this happen in our world that cares?

Do we live in a world where no one dares,

To change the laws, to help and protect,

These defenseless creatures that suffer neglect.

They call it tradition, culture and pride,

But it’s just an excuse to ignore the true side.

My Christmas wish for all Galgo’s and Grey’s,

Is that persecutors will change their ways,

And that help will continue in the battle to win,

To create a safe world for these dogs to live in.

I wish you well my sweet long nose friend,

I promise you now we’ll go on till the end.
