My wife's strange suggestion....
My wife is living in another country, I am an expat not interested in re-patriating back to America. We will only see each other once or twice a year...and lately have become very "frustrated" and lonely. She suggested, nonchalantly (sp?) the word "girlfriend" but not saying "do not"...seemingly telling me to do what i have to do to become not so stressed anymore. Our marriage is strained as a result of my current feelings, and i believe she was suggesting, without saying the exact words, to do what i have to do to make myself happy again so our marriage doesnt falter....hmmmmm....interesting....what do u think?

RichC, you and your wife are allowing circumstances to get the better of you. Do you want to stay married? If yes, then do what it takes to stay married. If it means you have to spend some time in Qatar alone, so that you've enough money to spend the rest of your life with her, so be it.

i dont make the $ most westerners do....my circumstances are...different...so i cant just up and go see her when it takes 24 hrs to do that...also...she is not in a very free country, and she is very busy with her ill family, so i doubt she has a bf...besides, her culture would NOT accept that. so....maybe the suggestions will change now that u have more info? lol
