Did u buy the CX 9? Could you tell me how is the service from mazda local agent??? Do you think you would get a good re-sale valve say about 3 - 4 year? If you bought it on loan from bank which one would you recommend. I am seriously considering the CX9 to the Path finder and Prado/Fortunner??

LEt me know your thoughts on this.

when looking into both the vehicles, you will be able to buy a Honda MRV. Its a very good vehicle.and the price is not that costly.

Pathfinder is a mid size, punchy, good looking 4x4. but, murano has a funky look. pathfinder has a great resale value and great reliability and value for money. off road ability is a big plus in pathfinder (compared to murano)

in cars, if you are looking for a piece of metal to transport you up and down the streets, go for any toyota car! otherwise, honda accord/nissan altima/nissan maxima.

The last 2 seats are folderble. Once you fold the seats It will become a 5 seater with a big trunk. works for both segments (those who needs 7 seats and Those who needs 5 seats)

regarding Camry.. it is a simple observation... all qatari gals drive Camry, not Accent...why do you think they do that??

I prefer Murano, am planning to change my car. But after hearing about CX9 am very tempted.....but as Hashin said I dont really need 7 seater.

about saloon or 4-wheel...

obviously off roading or seating capacity is not a decision criteria if you are willing to consider a saloon

I think the kind of job you have should determine your final choice...

if you have an office job... office to home and back

and the roads are decent from your house to your office

a saloon is a good choice

but if your job involves driving around more

and you need to do the occassional 'agressive parking'

then you are probably better off in an SUV

I know that it comes with the seven seats... I am asking YOU if you need the seven seats?

Let me give you an example, Someone may need the seven seats because they have a big family. If it weren't for that, they would have liked the Murano better than the CX-9... get my point?

By anonymous• 23 Jan 2008 11:16

It comes with 7 seats.

By anonymous• 23 Jan 2008 11:13

do you need the seven seats or is it a bonus?

270hp is pretty decent if you ask me...

the CX-9 reminded me of the Acadia

there is also a new Hyundai in the same mould

CX9 is a very good car. I am seriously thinking of buying one. price they offered to me is QR 120,000. Registeration and 1 year full insurence are included in that price.

By anonymous• 23 Jan 2008 11:03

I would go for the accord...

the camry ground clearance is really poor

considering the kind of roads...

that is a really serious problem...

I am glad charansoi brought up the CX-9

seriously good car... atleast on paper

cos I haven't spoken to anyone who has driven a CX-9

doesn't look like an accomplished off roader

but at 126000 riyals, its good value for money

and a good option going for an SUV for handling poor roads

and not offroading and requires space as well...

I am small for Yukon/ Escalade/Hummer etc. LOL. I mean bigger than Xtrail & Rav4.

Is Mazda a good choice? I know it looks good, but how about the Engine and the efficiency?

If you want a big SUV go with a Yukon or like me the Escalade. They see that big ol grill in the rearview and they get out the way pronto. It has plenty of power and comfort.

Accord or Camry?...definitely Camry!...

...and of course you need 4X4 to drive in Qatar!
