Mob Rage

A story about the grisly murder of a man at the hands of an indignant mob has emerged. The incident is believed to have taken place in a small hamlet in southeastern Pakistan where some locals allegedly stormed a house, on suspicion of some illicit activity being carried out there.

The people, it is alleged, became angry when they found in the house a woman of easy virtue in the company of three unrelated men suggesting a fornicatory intent on part of the group. The three men and the woman locked themselves inside a room in the house. When the crowed outside charged them to come forth, they telephoned some friends for rescue.

Their friends tried to disperse the crowd by firing shots into the air. In the commotion, a young man was injured by the fire. This infuriated the mob to the point that they rushed to break open the door and drag the three men and the women out and then subject them to the most brutal torture. One man, 50, was killed on the spot.

Police say seven people have been arrested and an investigation is underway.
