My parrot missing since 17.08.2013. If anyone finds a African Grey Parrot near Old Airport behind Hot Bread Bakery or around it please call me on 33427119. It just flew from the house and i'm desperately looking for it. Founder will be awarded 500QR. Please please call me. Please find the pic
i'm so sorry to say this, but you need to know when to give up and let go.
don't get me wrong because i know how you feel. as i've said earlier, i lost a parrot too. and a couple of dogs and cats as well. sometimes pets come back, sometimes they don't. sometimes one pet kills your other pet. sounds harsh, but it's a fact of life.
i just wished him the best in his adventure and prayed that he learned to feed himself or was caught and taken care of by the wildlife bureau (or someone nicer than us) and doing much better now in his natural habitat or something close to it.
One family found parrot in Beverly hills Al rayyan, we were informed and by the time we reached there it flew away. We missed him again. Anyone who lives there please find my parrot.
The problem with domesticated animals is that if and when let "free", they are not able to find food, as they ,due to being cared for by humans, never learned how to,
They most likely will die of thirst and starvation when "let free".
Yes his name is chotu and whenever we call me he makes his own sound. We did call him everyday we do that on the street. But no luck so far. We are going to paste his posters on the streets tonight. Hope someone gives him back to us.
i know how it feels. even i lost my hill parrot long time back. I thought someday he might be back home but never did.. what happens is once they find their flocks they join them..i wish you good luck buddy and if i spot such parrot anywhere around my place i surely will get back to you.
does he respond when you call him? have you tried calling out his name (or any word he responds to) outside/within your neighborhood?
depending on his mood, our parrot used to respond when we call him. sometimes he says his own name, calls us ugly or says hello depending on his mood. he even flies out to land on your shoulder or head (and poops there) when he felt like it. a night or two after he was lost i had the urge to call him out in a street on my way home but didn't because it was late and i didn't want to wake up the neigbors. the next morning some people told us that they heard a noisy parrot in that same area. when we checked he was gone. i should've called him out that night.
I beleive that whatever is meant for you will com back to you no matter, even without searching for it and ifs not meant to be with you, then no matter, how much you search, you will not find it...
Even i found a parrot just outside my villa, it was a little baby parrot, i dont know how it got there, but i thought, this is someones kid, lost and need support, so i took it home, bought a cage and other accessories, feed him food and see to that it learned to fly and one day, it flew out. I was happy, that i have done my duty. Birds are meant to fly in the Open sky and not a cage to live in.
I agree with you, they are meant to fly. But this one African grey and very intelligent. He talks. We are teaching him many things. You just step up he will be on your hand. He never tried to fly. This time it was first and he is gone. I hope I will find him.
we lost a parrot once. his name was bruno. not as nice and loving as dogs because he loves to bite when he's feeling nasty, but one of the smartest pets we ever had.
he learned to open his cage & also learned to unscrew the chain on his foot. he tried to fly away a couple of times but the neighbors always found him on a tree nearby right away, until one morning when he chewed his way out of our window screen & he was gone forever. we let him fly freely when inside the house but when he looks out the window you could see that he wants to be out there. people in our neighborhood claimed that they saw a parrot in the surrounding areas days after he escaped but we were always too late.
They are better than human. People have found their parrots even after 10 days. Studies proved that they look for their owners more than what we look for them. Till 3 days they don't eat and after that start looking for food and they will approach a human. Good humans will feed then=m and care them and they will handover to actual owners. There are actual scenes happened like this,
Molten....its been with us since 1 year and we treat like our son. He has given all he needs. He flew from my hand when I had taken him out. Anyways why am I giving you explanation? If you find you handover to me please because our house is empty without him
he has a bigger cage, it was me who takes him once a day out so that he could have his wings exercised which is very necessary for him. But he just flew away. I'm looking for him all over the place but no signs so far.
Have you tried contacting all the vets as this is probably the first place 'most' decent finders would take him. He has a ring on his leg so he would also have an identifiable number, best you dont give this number out to anyone. Also try putting posters up with his picture in all the supermarkets not just around the area but all over Doha - who knows where he could be now. Also put posters up in vets. Share this post on facebook with dogs in doha, qaws, cats in qatar, asqat, anzaq, how where and how in doha, lost and found in doha etc etc and ask people to share - hope you find him but please get him a bigger cage, this one is for a budgie.

much attachment with worldly subjects won't allow humans to make progress on the spiritual fronts ..

I still have that cage, need to sell it in QL.

Hoping the same
Gosh I hope the cats can't find him first.
am worried again ...
That has given me a huge relief ..

Parrots don't have homing instinct. Once gone they are gone for ever.
no .. that is not fair at all ...

will dare to take 500 for being solely responsible for putting an innocent bird into somebody else's cage ?
How is he going to justify this infront of his God ?
it legal to take this kind of money from a stranger ?
Founder will be awarded 500QR.
And what the now lucky parrot will get ?
A cage again [ as an award ] ? ? ?
