Misguiding Vehicle Inspection Agency
DAY-1:
We've visited an Inspection Agency called (German Testing Center in Barwa, Wakrah) to test My car. Initially they looks to be doing a thorough Inspection. He talks only in Arabic to accommodate Arabic speaking buyers to the core. Finally he came out with few papers saying that there's problem in the Chassis. It's weird thing to hear indeed. Later they talk in Arabic & as a result of their discussion the Pristine CAR cost was reduced by QR 10,000 !!! I've totally in disagreement with their report as I know that My Car never met with any accident which might cause a damage to the Chassis in any case. I had a hit by a taxi in the back (as almost many of the Cars in Doha is facing) & the same was changed by the original stuff a 6 months ago. I've totally refused the Offer. He refused to give that Paper to me as he paid & I don't know What he's going to do with the Paper as the Car is with me !!
DAY-2:
I have visited TOYOTA SERVICE CENTER for further check-up as this Car is regularly maintained there & they know the full history. I've explained them the problem. They had a thorough Inspection @ Bottom back, Left side. Finally they made out that the problem is not in the Chassis, but in the extended bracket which is meant for holding the Bumper in place. As the Hit was on the Laft side of the Bumper & that was NOT properly repaired by the Garage last time, It's still existing (Picture attached for reference). This was confirmed by the Toyota personnel by referring to their parts list. As in common, It's not that easy to screw the Chassis which is a rigid structure & the real issue with the Chassis will definitely lead to many other Driving Issues.
In the above context, I must advice to take extra care while You're dealing with this kind Incompetent Inspection Personnel & agencies which is truly misguiding both the seller & a buyer too. It leads to wasting of Time, Money, Efforts for nothing.
Also I would like to emphasize to take extra care while doing repairs also as the Rapair agencies are Only keen in getting the Police Paper & not very keen in doing a good repair work. When I was doing this excercise, I have noted that there are 2 issues with my previous repair in the reputed Garage as the Bumper looks NOT to be New as they claim that they've replaced with the New one & they didn't do a proper repair work as the Clamp was left as It was, which lead us to go for this lengthy excercise & Unnecessary burdon all the way.
We go to the German Car in Salwa road for the Inspection of BMW 7series, They did all the tests including computer test but the issue is nobody knows from them to interpret/explain the reading from their computer itself. WTH...
Where to go then to do the car checks?
German Computers on Salwa road used to be the best one's early in 90's...I still remember i once went with my father there and the person to inspect was a Phalpino guy.
I had a chance to vist the same German Computers some days ago and what I see is in a ROW may be 6 german WTF :O
at last ended up at old airport CAR MAX & I felt those guys are kinda professional.
The problem is that they have been so used to focusing on high profit / low wages , that they have forgotten about the customer
You've finally got it, zackm. All businesses here are rip-offs. The ones who deliver service for money can be counted on one hand. The business maxim here is: If you want to make successful business, screw everybody.
why do government continue to overlook this, where cars are widely used on a daily basis. Shouldn't they monitor and have quality checks in place for these cretins. All crooks these days! Real estate agents, customer service people, vodafone, ikea to these car testing centres. Is most businesses here to rip off expats? Shame! Shame on them!
Mostinspections stations are rip offs and don't know anything, you can even bring them a new car with zero kilos and they will say something is wrong, really pathetic, waste time and money.
Don't go to any german testing centers in Salwa road and elsewhere. 100's of germ-ans! They don't have any technical data associated with most of the points on the report. and don't be fooled by engine power written over the report. it's just ammeter measurements and nothing related to compression measurements. Its more important to buy a car that was maintained properly and always ask the owner what maintenance done to the car. Cost only time. & There are peoples who blindly believe everything on the paper and people know the real fact and wants a paper support to reduce the price!!!

They cant do anyting with your car test report. I heard from 2010, none of those testing center are trusty. Just for mind happy still they do check up before buy any car.
I had the same expereince few days ago with German test centre in Barwa Village, The guy who took mere there was known the Arabic guys working over there and they created negative report for my car. When the inspection guy drove my car for inspection, he told lots of negative about my car and finally the buyer reduced the price even further. I declined to sell my car to the buyer. Please beware of German car centre barwa village, In addition make sure you get your car tested from new agecny which is no way related to the buyer.
People go to the German Testing Centre because they assume that it is run by Germans and all above board.
It is always better to pay a little more and get the dealer to check the vehicle
We will never pass even fro the front side of that testing centre ........... I promise it to myself ..........................
