My family and I will finally be arriving in Doha in early April. Could anyone please enlighten me on the medical situation? Is this done through your company or is it government policy on arrival?
I shall not be working for the first couple months until my son's settled in to school. Does this mean I do not need a medical test until I start working?
Make sure that your company provides you with a full family medical package. Our company provides coverage with GoodHealth (British, I think) and its very good.
You can pay the 100QR as treasures says above but does this as backup, not as your main cover.

it is either u do it through government policy by paying 100QR yearly in nearst public medical centre or you can find private medical centres or hospital in doha and u can have agreement either yourself or through your company ( i see in previous post medical included in your contract )
I prefer private clinic or hospital , as it is better in handling appiontment
