Yes its true. Was offered a job to work on it, but didn't take it for various reasons, (how could I leave Qatar??!?!?!?) and some of my friends have joined. Actually they said its a great company and great project. One for the future definitely.

Masdar, (meaning the source in Arabic) is a Mubadala funded company. They are trying to develop future technologies, clean energy and amongst other things have a partnership with MIT to set up such research facilities. They are also building the world's first eco friendly city near the airport and construction is due to start very soon.
