For MARRIED ladies & gentlemen only

By greentea

I noticed that a lot of topics related to marriage have been posted or resurrected recently. It is posted in various forms like tips before getting married (to other race), queries on why this national married from another race, queries on y women have to get married, etc.. etc..

what about sharing your own reasons on why you, yes, YOU. Why did you get married?

this way we singles can get insights from you. it might help us decide if we will pursue marriage or just remain single our whole life... although i dont prefer the last option. LOL...

when you are down, when you are in trouble, when you are confused and dont know what to do, the first thing you do is pray to God and seek his guidance, sometimes we even asked for a sign of His real plan for us ....

but sometimes, signs are also not true!

He had a great house.

He took me to expensive restaurants.

He had a handsome brother, who liked me a lot but was already married, so it was a good cover up.

And I was pregnant with twins. Just kidding.

It was Love, love, love.

Chemistry as well.

I had a very lively life before I got married. I was living on some of the most happening places (NYC, LA, Delhi, Bangalore etc). Had lot of friends and we spent all our nights out in Pubs, Discthqs and many more fun places. But, after few years, all those started boring..None of there activites felt meaningful without a commitment and someone to share...Ok, how many can you keep driking and dancing and partying in your life...I got really tired of being single..I needed a change...a real change that will bring completely new perception about life to me...

So, I got married!!!

Five years now, I feel I'd better go back to bachelor life ;-)...

NOOO, Just kidding. I enjoy being married and being father of 2 cute kids..my sons bring a lot of meaning to my life, everday...everymoment...

I'm lovin' it!!!!!

I have known my wife from the time we were 12 years of age, we got married at 24yrs and have known each other totally now for 27 years. We have had our share of ups and down, but have pulled through together,Alhamdollilah!

She wasnt a moslem when we met but today she is a practising one, all her own wish, Its like 5 men can take a horse to water, 10 cant make it drink.

So to each his own,

But do get married all you single folks out there, its a joy in so many ways that only married people can experience

i WAS married,i choosed my hubby of my own,i thought he is the best for me.I was wrong. But still,i do not regret.

Why should it?That time it was right for me.

Anyway,i know i will do it again.

And again it will be only my desicion,i will ask nobody for permission,so the only one which is resonable for all following things is me,and me and me again.

The cardinal rule is "marry somebody of same religion"? Really?

According to whom?

nice one

someone you really love but above this rule is marry somebody of same religion meaning you put God above all things.

Secondly, a long engagement will give you insights of what you'll be your future husband will be (this is the same reason use by those who goes to live-in condition but you know it's against morality) meaning you go on the moral limits only.

Thirdly, there is really "love at first sight" but it doesn't mean you need to get married right-a-way

Fourth, you should expect that after the honeymoon period, it will be rough sailing because you are now together on a 24-hour basis and period of adjustment with someone like your partner you've known for not so long (say less than 1 to 5 years of knowing) is somtimes irritating.

The only thing that will assure that you will not separate is child or children and above-all, both of you must be God-fearing (real and not plastic)

more tips next time....

Greentea, not sure what to tell you. It's a personal decision. (Or not, depending on your culture!)

As for me, I didn't "pursue" marriage, no one told me to get married... I happened to meet someone I fell in love with...he's Muslim, I'm not... went on to make cute babies... it'll be 20 years this year.

suddenly they're sooooo quiet...

ok let's give them time to think and reflect on themselves on why they get married... maybe they're confused now... :D

hold on let me break the code...all i read in your topic was that your single and u want to know if you should date me and later get married and make cute babies.

Well u cant just spring out a question an a lonely single handsome smart man like me out of the blue i mean there are certain rules u need to apply first..but anyways since u asked so nicely should i pick u up at 8 pm tonight?

Ok well i too wanna know the views of MARRIED people in da house..out with it.
