"Life is short. Have an affair."

Came accross this slogan found that it is for a site which caters for people who are in a single or in a commited relationship and are looking for a "discreet relationship"

Apparently, business is boomimng. In the past nine years, the site has helped more than seven million people to cheat on their significant other.

British women have taken seamlessly to the cheating game. More than a quarter of married women admit to having an affair, compared with an estimated 18 per cent of husbands.

So, my question :

Is this site encouraging cheating or catering to demand?

Trouble is that many want to have their cake and eat it..

Agree with Qhris. Instead of cheating , just leave your partner and look for something new.

It is not only cynical, but premeditated and two-faced...

As the site says, it's for people looing for a "discreet relationship"

I really like your comment.

There is something very cynical about the whole thing.

Cheating is a horrible thing to do, that disrespects yourself and really, makes a fool of the person you cheat on.

But isn't this....one of the worst kinds?

I mean, if you meet someone in a bar, sparks fly....you get 'lost in the moment'....it is not acceptable, but as a human being it is more emotionally involved.

The website cheating is rather sinister....the time it takes from meeting the person online, to actually having the affair is so planned it is a bit sickening.

It's like a crime of passion being compared to planned, cold-blooded murder.

If you are going to put that much effort into cheating, you might as well use that energy to go to a 'couples therapy', or just ending the relationship.

They will do well in Qatar. The number of married people I know in Qatar who are cheating or looking to cheat makes me sick.

its true that ppl don't need a boost to go out of their marriage.. but beware of such sites for all u know this is their short term investment so they can start blackmailing their users in the future for a big lumpsum!! :P

Encouraging by making it easy for those who are searching for an option.

If there wasn't a demand - they would go out of business.

Sad actually

People may not need encouragement, but this is providing a ready made vehicle for those who may be on the borderline.

They obviously opened office due to there being a demand in the first place. but on the other hand they are promoting cheating as well for obvious reasons. that said I doubt people need much encouragement when it comes to cheating!
