Life in Qatar is a Nightmare agree ???**!!!

I Workout in my hometown in a gym $10 per month and its a pretty decent gym with full of equipment and space. when i was traveling to qatar i was thinking that i can continue my workouts here so i can manage my fitness here as like before. so i arrived here yes some disappointments about the environment and weather.

well i really didn't care about those things because i always said to my self this is just a temporary its not forever as soon as i had money which could be my investment for my life i will just say bye bye to Qatar. but the things i worried about my fitness. how in this earth one month fee for the gym more than 600QR ??

for 600 to 1200 QR per month common guys what the hell wrong with you Qatar ??

ok lets make a calculation here

average room rent = 2500 Qr

average taxi (if you dont have a ride) = 1200 Qr (per month bcz when you normally enter in to the taxi they always ask you 20QR they said because it was traffic. and even if you ask them you will only pay for the meter yes the mete was look so fraud bcz it was removed and they did something to that you can see the Red and Black wires out side the meter)

if you are renting a car a minimum rent is = 1200 to 2000 qr

your food coast monthly around = 600 to 1200 QR

and your Gym or Fitness Center = 600 to 1200QR

if you wana go to park or Corniche the Equipment there are just for kids i dont know what to do with them.

lets say your salary was 7000 QR

Room Rent = 2500 QR

transport = 1500 QR

Food = 1000 QR

Gym = 750 QR

total = 5750 QR (per months you should pay)

so how much you really save for your future ?

its still a very big question mark.

Heres another business idea :)

Fazl, You can save 1600 by sharing the room with two other souls .......... you can cut down your food bill by being at your boss / colleagues / friends / neighbours / countrymen's / and such other places for dinner on week days / lunch+dinner on weekends / breakfast+lunch+dinner on festivals - hoildays ....

..... by following my suggestion you can very easily save 2600 Rials /PM ........

@Barak O, Its not about asking help for saving money its about a hope the price range will not go low.

let me say that you are so particulate with your health... it will coast you more than what you earn here.

bcz of that you will think that you are saving money so you want to buy some cheap foods (here which is consider as a cheap food) you eat them and you are getting health problems in your future.

and you are going to spend all of your savings for the Medicines.

my question is why we cant afford here some good features for cheap prices. ??

@sahassan Sir i really dont blame the Qatar for this.

its just because of the other authorities above you.

and you should clearly know one thing that we are not in prison right.

you know if you are in prison yes you cant expect more than what it says.

and you deserved it because you commit a crime and you are under the sentence.

but this is a country and a really good country and nobody here earning money for free

you are working.. and you are investing your man hours.

well our countries have corrupt governments but Qatar it has a good Government.

and the authorities here are just miss using man hours.

my opinion is the people are hard earning money here.

and people are with lot of stress and pain i feel they deserve little better.

you should respect all of them. even if you are working in your home town you are working for just money. it the same everywhere.

still you should understand its not against the Qatar.

its about coast of living here as a normal person.

ok ill tell you the reason why i put the Food : 600 to 1000

its depends.

lets say that you wana eat steak ( you can say that why you wana eat steak my answer is : everyone deserve everything you cant limit it for just a group of wealthy people)

Normally a steak price here (70 to 120) agree or no.

if this is in my hometown ( 20 QR : in Qatari Riyal) so why its so expensive ?

(steak just a example there are lots of foods out there in that price range)

the transportation : i have to go by taxi to work ( 20 x 2 (up and down)= 40 x 26 = 1040 QR . you should pay it or you will get fired.

and i never talk about rules and regulation ( bcz i respect the Qatar Culture ) as a muslim i agreed to the laws. but my post about the Living coast of Qatar.

QLERS Hello, are you not feed up of people asking help how to save money if they are getting 40,000. Qatari Riyals Salary per month or so. It's a common sense. All of us came from a childhood and sure most parents teach us how handle the situation especially in financial matters. It is up to the persons once he got his/her salary they spend all. Even Myself I am getting QAR.500. salary per month, I can handle enough and I have mind if I will spend all or not, I am adult now, in this situation, I do not need help from others.

I DONT AGREE WITH YOU SIR,

YOUR CALCULATION IS TOO MUCH BASED ON LITTLE INFORMATION.

WE ALL KEEP SAYING BAD ABOUT QATAR AND ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS BUT FORGET THAT WHERE WE ALL ARE COMING FROM IS WORSE.

IF IT WAS NOT THE CASE WE WILL ALL BE HAPPY IN OUR HOME COUNTRIES.

SO STOP ! BLAMING AND START USING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SMARTLY.

YOU SAID BACK HOME GYM WAS 10 $ SO IS HERE ALSO 200 TO 300QAR MEDIUM LEVEL GYM( STILL WILL BE BETTER THEN WHAT YOU HAD BACK HOME ).

FOOD 1000 QAR FOR ONE MAN.........WHAT ARE YOU EATING.

RENT OK I MIGHT AGREE BUT STILL A BIT HIGH.

TRANSPORT YES A BIG ISSUE BUT WHERE THE HELL ARE YOUR TRAVELLING EVERY DAY BESIDE WORK,WHEN THE PLACE IS SHIT.

SO RE CALCULATE AND THEN RE POST.

AND PLS NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE.

THANKS

You should think first before coming to Qatar. GCC Country are Muslim country, there's do and dont's.

Compare to Europe or USA, if you belongs there. People come and work here to save money then go

back to there homeland starts a new life. Way back 80's they are very strict, there's no life at all. There are two Malls The Centre and Salam in West bay and one Hotel in corniche. Don't go to Gym instead go to Corniche and do your jogging it is free.

@Doha Planer & Wild Turkey i should say that i never said that qatar is a bad country.

well its being a nightmare to the people who earns less than you.

may be your earning are higher than our lines but you should understand there are lots of people who were just working in roads and deserts to earn 1500 or 2000 per month and being as a morden slaves to their companies. may be you are one of their superintendent of those people who suffer. and you dont give a shit but you will say to them if you dont like qatar so dont come we need a slave not a humen.

may be you can have more facilities man but dont think everyone here having the same kind facilities. its not just my thoughts its by the medias they made tons of tons of research about this. and no one here to blame Qatar for this situation just we are hoping that Qatar Government can take some actions which is really can support the Blue Colour employees.

no body complains about Qatar may be the real estate owners they can reduce the rent of the residential buildings.

Qatar Government can open some public Fitness Center for low Annual Rates.

If the Employees are healthy so Qatar might have good progress on its labor system.

(Not only for who works for government organisation)

Prices for food : it can be reduced (most of the under developing countries the governments submitting budgets to reduce the foor price range)

the transportation charges can be reduce : because this is middle east i guess i dont need to talk about the price of fuels.

guys these can be fixed bcz if this can be fixable in a under developing country why cant in Qatar ??

I hate it when people complain about Qatar. If my country is better, i wouldn't have been here in the first place. Blame your government that failed to provide you good job not Qatar that put food into your table. If Qatar is becoming a nightmare to me then i apply for i'll Exit ASAP

A gym? Use the roads, the beaches, and the desert. A gym is for idiots, and they pay for nothing. If you go up and down a sand dune 20 times you will have done exercise for a week. Go swimming in the sea, it trains every muscle of your body. You can run in fresh air for miles in the desert for free!
