what kind of speakers are you wanting...

for midrange speakers i would go with infinity...

for subwoofers i would go with pioneer or kenwood...

if your looking for an amp... i usually try to get the same company amp as i got the speakers from... simple because there rms and peaks are made for each other out of the factory that way...

darude is pretty good with speakers too...

AbuAmerican

i have been to the track and taken pictures of the bikes... there pretty nice...

http://www.qatarliving.com/node/47370

and from what i am told... it is a closed track...

i wish there was an open track some were... or atleast a stretch of road that no one cared what you did on...

if there was... and i knew i wouldnt get a ticket... i would be getting a car... but what is the fun in getting a car that you have go sneak around to race... because sooner or later your going to get busted by the cops ...

besides... i have had my license taken from me in two different countrys... hahaahahaha and i made a promise with my wife when we had our child... that i would only race on tracks so that i dont get in any more trouble... hahahahahaahahahahaha

mariam-mar

i highly doubt thats allowed here... since you cant even get an after market turbo... and most ferraris only have about 500 to 600 horse power...

i was refering to my wonderfull time in japan...

the guy who owned the car was a coworker... he worked down the hall from me and used to allways make me jealous on our smoke breaks because he parked right near our smoking section... hahahahahaha

900 hp is that allowed here? In this  short road distances? In Saudi. they don't allow it.

had a friend with a 900+ hp gtr ... r34 i think... it was fucking crazy...

every time the car would do more than two drag runs it would blow the power stearing belt... and there was nothing they could do about it except carry extra belts...  hahahah

as for the transmission... unless its an automatic... you probably wont have to worry to much about the sincros or anything going out on it until you get upwards of 400 or more horse power...

Oh and abuamerican... i know a guy that has a car dealership hear... he sells used cars and twice i have seen him selling early model supras ... they were NA but they were both in great condition... i would get one if i knew how long i was going to be here... but i also have a wife and kid and i dont have the money to pay for speeding tickets hahahahaha

if i am here long enough i would like to get back into racing ... but i dont think there is even a place were you can ...

first off... what makes a car go faster...

its all based on the power to weight ratio... you either increase power or reduce your weight...

to increase power you need to think about  what is keeping your car from gaining the power... one is the wiring ...

bigger ground cables and a ground cable kit can help with some of this... along with 8 or 9 mm spark plug wires...

this will eliminate some of your electrical resistance to the spark plug...

now that you have more power going to the spark plug... getting newer better spark plugs helps... ie bosch platinums

now that you are burning more fuel effecently you need to open the intake to allow for better air flow into the intake to increase effecientcy... this can be done by a few ways...

one is get a cone style intake and remove the air intake box in which your air filter is resting... and put the new cone intake in its place...

then try and straighten out any baffles in your intake system...

see in most intakes they use things such as air baffles to help eliminate engine noise... these baffles can reduce air flow... so removing them will straighten your intake an increase airflow allowing for more of an air mixture with your fuel... thus making more power...

now that this is more open... you need to think about your exauhst system...

your headers are a discrace to the racing community when the are stock... some stock headers use a log design which restricts so much flow out and causes to much back pressure but allows for a quiter car... and since power is what your after a good 4-2-1 haeder is what you want... then instead of removing your catalitic converter... get a high flow cat... which will keep it smog legal but allow for much smooter air flow... or just bust out your cat... with a pipe...

then you need to get a cat back exhaust and a better rear muffler... something that llows for air flow...

if any of this helps ... or you want more explination or some help on how to do this... shoot me a pm

as for speakers... darude just named off some of the best for your buck speakers...

another brand is infinity or blahpunckt

i had a nice little set up in my car with a 1000 watt 10 inch sub witha 750 watt rms pioneer amp... the amp was rated at peak of 1200 watts... and the speaker at peek of 1500

i set it up so i didnt have to worry about blowing the speaker... because it was a free air speaker and the fiberglass houseing i made was a free air houseing...

so it was a pretty good bass... and i had enough speakers threw out the car that when we would park some were and hang out we could just open my trunk... very entertaining...

if anyone needs help setting up some speakers i can help

electric superchargers will help but you need an SAFC-II if you are going to use them properly...

an SAFC is just an air to fuel ration controller... basicly it just monitors your air to fuel ration so that it stays aroun 14 percent... and sence the electric super charger is going to boost the intake with more air... then you are going to need more fuel... so the controllor will help with that up to a certian point...

they can be pretty pricey too...

now if you can just get a K and N intake kit for your car... you can get a good 10 percent increase...

now as for using the super charger out of another vehicle... i am not sure what kind of super charger the range rovers use... but seeing as they are a v8 motor... its probably a top mount super charger...

which means that it probably connects straight to the trottle body... unless its a side mount super charger i dont see it being any good for what you want...

i would have to explain this in person seeing as the internet doesnt allow me to really describe this in words like i need ...

most super chargers just bolt up with an extra pulley and you might need a longer belt... some have extra belts with the kits...

again if you increase your air intake... you need something other than the stock O2 sensors to control your fuel ration so i would recomend an SAFC...

but they are not necessary... but they help...

if you would like this saturday i am off... and i have nothing to do... other than clean house...

me you and some other car people can get together and talk cars... maybe just hang out... or if some one has something they would like to do to there car we can all work on it... i miss working on cars hahahahaha

what do you think darude... would you like to get together too... and talk about cars...

oh and i can take some pretty good pictures with cars...

Would a second hand supercharger from a scrap 2007 range rover sport do the trick or would i have to change the mounting???

I used to be interesd in this supercharger for my accord  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Supercharger-Turbo-VTEC-Civic-Prelude-Accord-CRX_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ012QQitemZ220200177894QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

and my cheaper solutin was http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Supercharger-Turbo-VTEC-Civic-Prelude-Accord-CRX_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ012QQitemZ220199806898QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

what would you suggest....since ive never worked with superchargers b4....how are they installed?? do u just bolt them to the engine / intake or what??

Plus i would have to change the hood right so that theres enought room right??

also i was wondering if u knew any small scale do it ur self ticks to increasing ur HP by 4 or 5...ive already tried to reduvce weight and put on some lo pro tires!

unless you are doing some serious work to that car... ie maintaining the inegrity of the block... you dont want to remove the rev limitor... because thats a crucial part of keeping the motor alive... i can go in to great detail on that in a pm

as for removing your govenor (thats what we refer to it in the states) you will have probably have to get your car a PDA so that you can hook up to it...

let me talk to a buddy of mine and see if he knows a quicker way to do it than that...

as for now i am off to go play pool

bye guys

actually turbo charging an inline four is much easier than turbo chargeing any car...

i was not aware that it is illegal here...

if you are allowed to super charge it... go with a centrifical supercharger...

i would be more than willing to help and show you how all this is done...

i have turbo charged many hondas... and nissans... if you would like i will show you some of my work and work me and my friends have done...

if you get a cintrefical supercharger you will not have to lower the motor you might still have to mess with the hood a-frame but you wont have to do mess with the hood it self...

you can still get more power out of the car by doing N/A stuff such as a stroker kit... or if this is a k-series motor... you can do some serious fuel/air ration tuning... or swap out cams...

trust me on what i say about cars...

this is my website

www.poboycustoms.net

we put alot of work into every car we build or have built...

Firstly dude.....nice silvia.....one of the BEST drifters ive ever ever seen!

yea ive tried to import a sport air intake here to doha......

to take care of the pressure in the back.....i have a butterfly muffler tip..(it was second hand from a scrap yard here...and was on this modded mitsu eclipse)

the reason i bought it is because the New Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren has butterfly technology mufflers......so it gets rid of all ur exausts faster than a regular sports exaust.

If r intersed in getting really cheap performance parts hear....go to the scrap yard...look for range rover sports supercharged/ mercedes C -class superchered or anythign else that catches ur eye...these things can be bought dead cheap and are really helpful!

Well.....firstly you cant turbo charge a I4

secondly Turbochargers are illegal in doha....I had to beg for headers and now its ok...i knw someone who can gimme a supercharger but then id hae to do a lot more to fit it in.......Shaving the hood and lowering my engine is hard coz my front bumper is pushing inside. :S

that pontiac firefly... does it have the suzuki motor cycle motor in it... if so ... turbo charge it and try and get a better head gasket so it doesn blow...

that thing could be quick hahaha  i have seen a few of them before ... its funny to see a little car go so fast

well as for me here... i dont own a car... i only rent...

maybe if i am here long enough i will own... but in the past i have had a few cars...

this is the car i had in japan...

all the mods were done by my self... except for final paint

http://www.rankmyride.com/?page=cars/view&CID=2889

later i went to the sr20det motor ...

you said you have headers on that honda... well you should think about uping your fuel system now that you have completely open your exhaust...

since your exhaust (being headers to a straight exhaust pipe) is so free flowing you are loosing back pressure on your exhaust...

but i noticed you said muffler tip... does that mean you still have the stock muffler... if so... then you probably arent loosing that much back pressure... but you should think about a dynomax muffler or something of the sort...

if you get a full exhaust system... to regain some of that back pressure... opening your intake is a quick fix... ie cold air intake system plus a larger fuel rail and one step up on your fuel injectors then maybe go for a better coil pack... for your spark plugs...

oh and this is the car i just got rid of back in the states... had some mods done to it... and i did some SCCA events in her... but i didnt know how long i was going to be here so i had to say good by to her... she was the best little car in the world...

My Toyota GX, so huge, heavy, hard to maneuver, destoy my poise when i get in, fast petrol absorber, but safety feeling to drive.

My BMW, elegant, makes me feel rich and beautiful, light, comfortable, head turner, always make me worry that someone might scratch or bump it when at parking, heavy on the budget.

My Carens, cute, light and sassy, unexpensive, comfortable, easy to park,

easy to maintain, my fave.

My VW Cabriolet, cute, sporty, very light, fragile, worry free, but i don't like to drive.
