Legality

I have an open contract and i have been working in this company for almost 4 years but until this time i don't receive even 1Riyal increase. As what i have read in the Labour Law, we are entitled for 10% increase per annum. I have tried several times to request for increment but all of those requests were ignored by the management. Question, if i decided to find another job inside Qatar what are my chances of getting the NOC from my employer if he refused to release me considering my length of service? Another thing, according to Labour Law employer MUST provide health insurance for his employees, unfortunately in my 4 years service with them i don't have any health insurance provided by my employer.
I'll appreciate any suggestions and advices...
not_so_happy,
You are wrong... The labor law does not stipulate to any increases or health insurance.
I'm not aware of any provision in the labour law for a 10% increase in salary each year. I can hardly think of anyone I know who has had an increase recently, with the exception of people who have had promotions.
Ditto health insurance - since when was it the law that health insurance must be provided by an employer?
"according to Labour Law employer MUST provide health insurance for his employees, "
Source please?
Dorry, but the employer is not forced to give you a yearly increment..
You need to talk to your employer, especially regarding the health insurance .
Word of warning - It may backfire on you..
To the best of my knowledge there is no requirement in the Labour Law to give an annual increase. This should be at the discretion of the employer and should be performance based.
Please quote the clause if you have read it.
