Leaving Qatar without RP?

Help required please...!

I have recently moved to Qatar on a work visa and am currently awaiting my Residency Permit, having completed the medical, fingerprinting, and blood group test etc.

My question is, can I leave Qatar to go overseas to Europe for a few days without having my RP? And if yes, will it cause a problem when I return to Doha?

People are giving me different information, so i'm not too sure who to believe at present! I am keen to make the trip, but obviously do not want to book a ticket and cause myself major problems by doing so!

Please advise of the correct procedure/rules! Thanks.

ps. I have a UK passport if that makes a difference.

If you have had the medical, blood test and fingerprints done, you are very close to getting your RP. You just need to get your sponsor to lodge the details along with your employment contact to the Ministry of the Interior and you will have the RP in a few days. Then you can get an exit visa and go to Europe. Do not leave the country before you have all this or you will be in a world of trouble when you try to return.

If you choose to leave without the RP, you will need to go through the medical/fingerprinting process all over. Do not leave until you have your RP in hand. Once you have your RP, you will need an exit visa to leave the country, unless you have been provided a multi-exit visa by your company. I have an American passport and am in the same situation.

If you leave the country then you cant come back for i think it is 2 years. You have to wait for your RP then you can get exit permit and then leave.

Due to family reasons I had to get back to Latvia and Iwas stuck here in doha for 3 week until my RP came then i could leave Qatar .

I also have a Uk passport it makes no difference here .
