Law of the Garbage Truck.
Seems to be quite a few of these "garbage truck" folks on QL lately. ;)
Law of the Garbage Truck
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car backed out of
a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. He was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.
They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so ...
Love the people who treat you right. Maybe pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you
take it!
Have a wonderful, garbage-free day!!
The Garbage truck Driver likes you a lot. He had no flowers, so he decided to throw garbage at you, instead of flowers.
...but they keep on 'passing by' like it becomes 'their' habit...on 'throwing garbage' on me everyday....

something to do with barbed wire and wire snips, I think...
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Thanks Scarlet for sharing this story!
Some time ago i used to let all garbage trucks leave their garbage on my feet!
But now i work a lot on it!
I feel better with myself and i do not allow to anybody spoil my soup!
Ok, not always, but i try to avoid garbage every single day! :)
Good luck to you too.
.
.
Well RP, at least the garbage was in bags....
thanks to Moi :-D
At one time , My truck was everyone garbage truck in one of those trips to the beach with QL.
No one help get rid of 25 bags of garbage collected and dump in the back of my truck.
Surely, my truck was smelling and looking like a garbage truck.
You catch me once , but not twice as your garbage boy!
Next time, i will pack my own lunch bag and stay way from my truck!
cool like fish in the pool..:)
Moving on is simple; it's what you leave behind that makes it so difficult .
oh she knows that well how rude i am with her when we meet out in some event :/
:P
Scarlet nice one...all you have to do is not to become garbage truck yourself, even though at some point you think you have the right....just remember
"If you throw a boomerang it will come back to you"
and i mean
"if your actions are marked by evilness and hate, the same will come to you"
UK: I still keep my baseball bat with me....you never know when it might come in handy!!!
Repeated thrice on QL :(

HE WHO DARES WINS
I my self have got invloved in a few scuffles back home, just trying to tell the other person who is right and who is wrong, instead ended up in a fight..
So what you have written is quite true and one should heed that advice.
In the UK in long traffic jams home, ppl do not tolerate ppl jumping the que or pushing in and take it very personal. It is quite a stressful experience sitting in traffic jams. My remedy used to be was listening to classic music..lol

HE WHO DARES WINS
I learned in Houston to enjoy the traffic jams...I look around, smile at kids in the backseats, make faces at folks and sing along with my country western music...always with the windows rolled up or someone would shoot me for sure!!

sorry to hear that...perhaps you need another garbage truck to unload on the one that unloaded on you!!

my son has even had a gun pulled on him while he and his friends were just driving down the highway...evidently the guy who did that just thought he'd be funny...NOT!!!

Seen this one before.. But as you have posted this Scarly it was worth reading it again..and it is quite true..
Road rage.. is nothing but garbage. In Britain we have a few motorist killing because of this rage..

the next day, they will be the one who will meet a garbage truck and same thing will happen to him.. then, he'll learn his lesson.. :)
