Bank 1 in my current bank and Bank 2 is the bank where I am going to transfer.
To make the story very short :D...I have loans in Bank 1 and Bank 2 already pay it last January 5. I have the swift copy from Bank 2, that bank 1 accepted and received it already. And I have read thru the narration of the swift copy, that " If you (bank 1) unable to issue clearance letter to the customer, pls do not accept our payment and send it back to our A/C in QCB, ur acceptance or our payment instruction will be only against issuance or ur clearance letter."...
My question is...can i push bank 1 to issue my clearance letter because it's been 6 days that they have the money with them? Can I file a case against them if they hesitate?

I, HOPE U WOULD HAVE EARLIER COLLECTED LOAN OUTSTANDING OBLIGATION LETTER FROM BANK 1, PRIOR TO LOAN PAYMENT FROM BANK 2.
IN THIS LOAN OUTSTANDING OBLIGATION, THEY ( BANK 1 ) MENTION THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OBJECTION OF CLOSURE OF THIS LOAN A/C PROVIDED IT IS PAID IN DUE VALIDITY TIME MENTIONED IN NOC& ANY CREDIT CARD DUES IF ANY.
ON RELEASING THIS NOC BY BANK 1, THEY ARE LIABLE TO RELEASE CLEARANCE LETTER TO U. But Normally they issue after 1 week from the payment to check your dues if any of Loan vis a vis Credit Card.
On your application / request after 1 week for Clearance certificate they take another 3 working days to issue. This is what i have experienced.

just asking... if you have problem with certain bank... is their any place to go to file complaint?

delaying tactics plus their being a slow workers.
have seen these case from my old colleagues who transferred from one bank to another.
if you understand the documents and if you know what to do...you can fight even it'll go to the court...just understand what is the discretion of the transaction.
I don't care if it will take that long, one thing I wanna do is for them to know that not all customers knows nothing and just bowing their heads to them...besides I am still their customer. I have all the right, unless I violated their rules.
That's why I am asking here if somebody knows... Shouting is not my forte...

When a client leaves them, they are slow. But if you're bringing in business, they're faster...just like anywhere.

I will rephrase the last sentence in bold:
"ur acceptance of our payment instruction will be only against issuance of ur clearance letter."...
it should be of not or...sorry.

but it may take time.you know how these people works .A simple signature will take days.
keep a lot of patience with you always.
For clearance letter. and if they dont? File a case right away.
