Int'l Auto Show to take place from tomorrow 26th January upto 29th. First two days are for VIP's & Media Reporters, whereas balance days are for public, but kids under 10 are not allowed to enter the exibition centre.

Now... my nephew 2years old is fond of watching cars & first word he spoke out is 'CAR'. I wanna take him with me at any cost!!

Kids of all nationalities and races not allowed or it's like the no bachelor thing?

By Uranus1• 25 Jan 2011 19:23

Outrageous!!! Next they going to start banning single men from the events and places . . . wait, they already do that.

What are you doing, masturbating over the curves of the vehicle?

'complete concentration'?.

You car pervert.

Myself & Hubby are going but we wouldn't even entertain the thought of taking my 2 car-crazy kids with us.

With the crowds, could you imagine little kids running around, getting in people's way and potentially causing damage to any of the cars whilst they try and climb in and out.

There's no way you could even get a stroller in there with the crowds that normally gather at these events.

I've no doubt the noise alone would scare the life out of younger kids.

I'm not tarring all kids with the same brush, but I commend them on prohibiting under 10s.

Well last thing anyone wants is go check out cars and hear kids crying. I'm sorry but usually Arabic kids don't have the best manners and parents in general no matter where they come from think their kids screams are not heard by others. I hate planes for this, not being mean but car enthusiasts need complete concentration in these rare events.

As a mother of two children under the age of 10, I not only understand that but support it. Even if you do look after your child and consider his actions, I personally have wittiness lots and lots of children in our society that have just free rain and can do what ever they want to, with out consequence-If it was my cars I wouldn't want small children that can scratch-spill or touch-around such expensive cars....think about it-it make sense.

not only that Oryx, they should have a mandatory visit to Rumailah Hospital for them to see RTA victims, especially kids below 10 years old!

Great idea - I will definately go then!

I hope they have some child car seats available for people who don't strap in their kids.

They should also make it mandatory for each parent to watch information videos of the consequences of putting your kids on the dash board.

* Please note that entry is free. Children under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed

I heard on the Radio the other day that it was a family event? They were even promoting the event by a competition and the advert on the Radio specifically mentioned fun and activities for the whole family.

Can you please post your source.

Probably the thought of wiping grubby little fingerprints off the cars every ten minutes upsets them.

OK, that explains the no bachelor rule ... ;o)
