Kate Middleton

I know I can't post the story, but what does everyone make of this?

Me? I'd love to kick a paparazzi in the face.

I'm worked up on your statement, not this issue.

By wirehead• 16 Sep 2012 19:17
wirehead

wow, ryan's looking for me. should i be flattered?

sorry for my delayed response. i don't log into ql at work. and i honestly have better things to do than to concern myself with the petty 'problems' of the first world. you can use that as a blanket statement.

if you don't like my blanket statements, let's replace it with something more specific: i seriously don't get why ryancanuck is so worked up on this issue like he's the one who's married to the woman.

i felt more sorry for her when i saw pics of her shopping in public and were published in such a way that made her face look old and highlighted her blemishes, open pores and wrinkles a few days before her wedding. that was just so mean.

i'm outta here.

Where's wirehead? We need another blanket statement to help us make sense of all this.

Stupid woman!!!! she's in the public eye and sunbathing topless is very naff......she wanted that lifestyle now she needs to realise she can't do that. She now belongs to the British public, Afterall we pay for her holidays!!!

Hardly surprising that the magazine's owner is Berlusconi

I agree that public figures should be under the spotlight and be open to scrutiny. But in this instance they were on a "private" holiday and their privacy should have been respected.

I want anybody who chooses to be in a public office that his life is exposed to the last second. He must be without mistakes and flaws, otherwise, he should be removed.

By RyanCanuck• 16 Sep 2012 08:15
RyanCanuck

Being in the spotlight doesn't mean you instantly have to spread your ass cheeks and let everyone take a photo.

By anonymous• 16 Sep 2012 08:14

Have you ever considered that you can resign as a "King" or "Prince", Ryan? You can, if the "royal" life is too stressful for you. NOOOO problem, except that you lose the interest of the public in your life and lots of money!!

By anonymous• 16 Sep 2012 08:12

And many more.

Ryan, I know people who said 'no, thank you, I don't want to be a king'!

By RyanCanuck• 16 Sep 2012 08:05

Aside from Kate, none of them chose that life. Give them a break (or at least some privacy on their vacation).

By anonymous• 16 Sep 2012 08:03

If you decide to become a soldier and you get killed you have no right to complain afterwards. If you become a politician and stand in the spotlight, it was your choice. The same applies to the so-called "Royals". It's the price they pay for being so vain.

By RyanCanuck• 16 Sep 2012 07:29

My problem? This: "I seriously don't get how westerners like to bare it all outside though."

By wirehead• 16 Sep 2012 06:50
wirehead

of course not dimwit. i simply said i don't understand why some of them like to go topless outdoors. not saying it's wrong in anyway. not a very pretty sight on kate though. guess she looks pretty only when she has clothes on. geez, what's your problem?

By .sun26872• 16 Sep 2012 06:41

Frankly, I think prince has made a sensible choice by marrying a not so glamorous woman.

By RyanCanuck• 16 Sep 2012 02:49
RyanCanuck

^Oh, listen to you. 'Westerners like to bare it all'. Please. You really think we go running around all day buck naked? Buying groceries and sipping coffee with our junk hanging out?

Ignorant.

By wirehead• 16 Sep 2012 00:07
wirehead

i agree it was a sleazy thing for those paparazzo to do and they could get sued to hell for all i care.

the thing is, their security should have been more thorough when checking the premises of the area. and although they (and i'm not just talking about security here) were on private property, shouldn't they have been a bit more careful considering harry's recent scandal as well?

i seriously don't get how westerners like to bare it all outside though

I googled it.. Kate could have used some good surgeon :):)

jokes aside, I like and respect The Duchess of Cambridge a lot.. the french paparazzi should be punished severely, for the privacy law violation..

At Britexpat--big groan.

For informational purposes, I just viewed the pics. Not the most flattering but nothing to be ashamed of either. It's bound to result in more comments about her being too thin, though.

a) I Googled the pictures not because I am a perv, but because I had to see what all the fuss is about.

b) Yup what do you know... a woman's breasts... (I think mine are bigger, but that was my only thought)

c) She knows the score... she knows these dirty barstwards hungry to make a buck out of her misfortune are hiding in bushes all over the place with very powerful telephoto lenses. She should have known better than getting her baps out in the open even if in a very private area. A mistake I am sure she will not make again.

d) That said this is wrong. The sleazy git that took the images should be hit with a heavy fine (equal to if not more than any money he made from the images) and preferably stuck in jail for a bit to make an example of him. And for that mater so should the editor of any magazine publishing the images.

e) That said... All the pictures do is show that she is human. I'm not going to say no harm done, because I'm sure as far as she is concerned a lot of harm has been done. But it will pass. The main thing is; she did nothing wrong herself so she cannot be critisised in any way (unlike if this was say a public beach) and all this errrr.... exposure will do her no harm in the long run, and will in fact generate a lot of sympathy for her.

f) None of us will remember this next week.

By nomerci• 15 Sep 2012 14:54

Nobody, no matter who they are , should have their pictures taken without their consent. Period.

By shreister• 15 Sep 2012 14:42

ive seen this sentiment posted elsewhere but i agree with it and will repeat it.

when a member of the public stalks some1 and posts their private pictures online, its called voyeurism and is an arrestable offense, but when cheap magazines fund said stalking its called "journalism". something stinks about that.

im all for media freedom and all but private lives ought not to be poked into. this, phone tapping and god knows wht else they are upto.

I have thrown away my beret and refused to eat French mustard or shop at Carrefour. I will also refuse to buy that silly long bread and the smelly cheese.

As far as the pictures are concerned, I believe thy should not have been taken or published..

we'll cause a riot anyway.... It doesn't matter that its not a frenchman who get hurt....

It'll bring us tonnes of attention, though;-D

Look if you choose that lifestyle of rich and famous in the world we live in today expect to be photographed in unusual places, expect someone to find old news about plus bring it to the publics attention, expect to be put on a pedestal plus knocked back to earth. Famous people quite often say that we dont our private life in the public, but quite often than not a lot of them use the media to keep their names in the public eye. Im not saying it is right, it thats how it works in modern times.

First of all, the new miss princess is neither so beautiful nor popular like Lady Diana. No paparazzi is ever going to follow her. This is very poor stunt for publicity. She will never receive the kind of public attention as is expected by some people.
