Jail for Blasphemy

A Doha court has handed down a Lebanese man three-year imprisonment and subsequent deportation for uttering blasphemous words.
During the trial, the court heard how the accused, a foreman, made the offending comment to one of his workers at a worksite, on May 1, 2007.
The prosecution said the man uttered the blasphemous words after a worker failed to carry out his instruction. He also fired the worker.
Two other workers who were present at the site at the time of the incident testified against their boss.
The accused denied the charge and said he sacked the worker because he did not follow the orders.
Delivering the judgement, the court said that based on the witnesses’ testimony it was convinced that the accused uttered the “blasphemous remark.”
The crime was particularly serious as the accused was a Muslim, the court said.
The convict has appealed against the ruling.

black and white (under Qatari law), no transparency

....I don't know whether is this blasphemy?

I agree that for me, the sentence in the maid murder case was far too lenient.

Is it a crime? Who knows, things that previously weren't crimes seem to become crimes and vice versa here pretty easily.

My beef however is that once again this person is receiving a harsher sentence then the woman who tortured and killed her maid! It's the values of Qatar's courts that confuse me!

They'll be judged, by God, as hard as they have judged others here.

Only God Can Judge Me

الله فقط يمكنه محاكمتي

I am you and you are me, if you love i love, if you suffer i suffer

أنا أنت, و أنت أنا, إذا أحببت نفسك أحببت نفسي, إذا عانيتَ عانيتُ

A victimless 'crime'

:)

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers

were given. Satan - 10."

I request people not to involve with any blasphemic words , espeically dealing with a religious bigot.

Some time the junior workers does some conspiracy agianst the boss, givng false allegation that the boss talked something against the Religion.

I remember an incident a Philipine Nurse was falsely convicted, by the "witness report" of her colleagues, only because of professional jealosy !!!

We better control our anger and nevr talk against any religons
