Israeli extremists set mosque ablaze

A group of radical Israeli settlers have attacked a mosque near the West Bank city of Bethelem, ransacking the holy site and burning copies of the holy Qur'an, residents say.

A group of Israeli extremists stormed a mosque in the town of Beit Fajjar overnight, burned copies of the Muslim holy book and set fire to carpets in the building, Ma'an news agency quoted locals as saying on Monday.

Palestinian residents reportedly arrived at the scene and clashed with the assailants.

The witnesses blamed the attack on a group of Israeli settlers from the nearby Kfar Etsyon settlement.

The settlers also desecrated the holy site by spraying graffiti and hate messages on the walls inside the mosque in Hebrew.

Gus this was a month ago and on every TV or news channel in the world. The serious thing is that indeed there IS media coverage of these acts and that it does not change anything.

Here is foxnews for instance:

and using his methods against Palestinians, while continuing to play on the sympathies of what was done to them by Hitler. Really amazing that they can do it with such finesse.

You want to get in ANOTHER war? Because that is the only thing we could do to really promote change and I certainly don't agree with that, regardless of which side we might support for whatever "political reasons". To me, they are both guilty of throwing away so many chances for peace and I think they have to reach the point that they are REALLY willing to make peace with each other. They haven't reached that point yet and keep letting foolish pride and dreams of expansion keep them in this untenable situation.

I think at this point, they deserve each other. I remember being told that in Islam, God doesn't change things until you are on the right path. Many say the Palestinians clearly have the government they deserve. Same can be said of the Israelis. They will never be able to live in peace until they elect a GOVERNMENT that will make peace. To me, that tiny little part of geography is hell on earth and will continue to be until Jews and Muslims can learn to live together again.

apparently Israeli's are looking a connection b/w Palestinians and European Hitler.

They do not want to live in peace and are creating a risk for their own countrymen by continuing to encroach on more and more land and refusing to be governed by the national interests.

I will watch for this news in the US and see if they even say a one liner. When a mosque was bombed in FL because no one was killed we heard nothing. The papers and who owns them make sure this news does not get any press time.

Why are they allowed to do this?

This is wrong on all counts.

Come on Obama and David deal with this.

I don't agree with war, however somebody needs to stand up to this murdering lot.

They have every right to remember the Holocaust, and it was a sad event in history but they are doing the same.

The only way to deal with this is to cut off all help to them.

I am not PC at all, and I do think the Arab world has a lot to think about too. Israel, you are so wrong in so many ways.

In my simple mind it is almost like the Mugabe thing; the West won't do anything as there is no money to be made.
