Introductions!

Hello,

After five months of reading but never posting, I'd like to introduce myself and my wife to the Qatar Living Forum. This forum has been a huge help as we've researched Doha and made the decision to accept a job in Qatar.

I will be starting a job at WCMC-Q in September and my wife will be following as soon as she receives her visa. I interviewed in July and loved Doha. All I could see was opportunity. In 1849 in California, people came here to seek their fortunes... I saw the same thing in Qatar. Currently, we're both living in Sacramento, California USA. Tanya is from Texas and I'm from California.

Tanya is a Landscape Designer so if anyone has any hints, tips, connections or suggestions for her as she explores career opportunities, they would be greatly appreciated. (We both read this forum every day!) She's done everything from single residence homes to hotels and casinos.

Anyhow, we are very excited about the move and look forward to meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world. As I'll be in Doha for about two months before her, I'm sure I'll be asking this forum a lot of questions so I can prepare a great welcome for her.
