Happy womens day to all the womens .But looking at the amount of attrocities the women are suffering ,is it really a HAPPY womens day ?

I was reading some posts yesterday where the women in saudi was being discussed and instead of disscussing her plight or if there is anything that can  be done for her ,we all were arguing among ourself was it religion ,was it people attitude ,using foul lang against each other etc etc ..........

FORGETTING that AT THE END OF IT ALL A WOMEN SUFFERED A CRIME AND WAS INTURN PUNISHED AGAIN.AND MANY MORE SUCH CRIMES CONTINUES TO HAPPEN TO WOMEN AND THIS IS SAME EVERYWHERE IN EVERY COUNTRY ,with tally of crime against women being less or more .

ITS SAD state of life :(

Under valued contribution .And it quite irony that even on women days ,everybody is marketing big brand women and women who survive ineqaulity ,challenges ,make a diffrence , make contribution in everyday lives of ppl go unnoticed .

International women's day is not about being nice to women. That's a little trivial. It's about women's rights and recognizing women as equals, something that is often overlooked in this part of the world.

I agree with nottoknow, we cannot just stop at Happy Womens Day, if we are to be nice to a certain individual based on creed, culture, sexuality etc only on one specific day then that is showing flaws within ourselves!

Why can we not just have a group session called be nice to everyone 365 day????

Oh well looks like im cooking dinner tonight.

We came we saw we were Qatarized

Usually I hate these "marketing days". You know Grandpa Day,Be nice to Children Day and all the other stupid things that Hallmark and the other greetings card companies dream up to sell their sickly cards.

International Womens Day is a little different though. I came across this when I was living in Russia. The idea is that you review and appreciate everything that women do, take over their obligations for the day and appreciate their often under-valued contribution.

I m not talking country specific crimes against women ,and lets not deny there is enough crimes against women even in India .We see it on daily basis .

Individual respect should be toward fellow HUMAN BEING irrespective of gender ,caste ,creed ,nationality .I think so

I am a male but still I would like to tell you something, India is the only country where we treat a women like mother,sister,sister-in-law,wife etc. Crime is every where in the world.. it may also depend on your culture..womens those are highly restricted with their traditions or religions fundamentals will always comes to face such kind of situation.

If you talk about an Indian womes I dont agree that its a SAD state of life.. it depend on the individual respect...

By the way Happy Womens Day!!
