India wins the T20 world cup

India won the T20 cricket worldcup yesterday by beating pakistan by 5 runs in a nail biting finish.

What do you think , it was India's goodluck or Pakistan's badluck? Was it Misbah's wrong shot or was it Shreesanths cool at the crunch time to take that catch? What was the turning point in the match?

My friends, let us all stay cool there is no need to report anyone to anybody, im sure since u made ur displeasure clear the offender would have had a change of heart but u urself jump on to the same boat by abusing back. You then, can no longer claim to be the sole aggrieved party, Im sure this is not what we want to see here on these forums. Yes Indians claim to have good relations with Pakistanis but away from it all there will be a bit of needle but pls do not fool us into believing that this does not happen amongst the others too...it is but human nature. let us be real, this kiddish attitude of complaining to others reminds me a lot of school. Me and a group of my friends from across the border watched the match at my place and had a lot of fun doing so...it was a first for me too...but at the end we consoled and greeted each other for a fantastic match, so after such a gr8 experience to see such bad tempers on display here made me real angry so Stay cool friends, after all goodwill amongst everyone will heal quickly and last longer.

20-20 is the way to go..

ODs were getting so boring with mostly "proper-shots" etc and little excitment.

In 20-20 almost everybody was trying to experiment. I guess one saw more inventive shot-playing in one tournament as compared OneDays for a year.

People were playing shots finally!

ZeeTv is comming out with something similar & knowing ZeeTv its gonna be much better broadcasted.

Misbah was in fact tired, had he given a couple of feet in length to the hit the result could have gone Pakistans way!!!

The match was so close & exciting.

Dear keep you emotions cool. This is the way they shows their mentality. Proudly saying world biggest democracy and people are so mean. Before the final match, it was only Indian caption talking about rivalry etc. On face to face they will say we are very good relations with pakitanies but on back they talks nonsense.

Well in public forums, try to give good comments and do your best not to say anything which hurts. Specially the wording Mr. tdias13th using.

The match is over, congratulation to india. But the fact is pakistan just lost this with one bad shot. Players were not playing well but still we came so much close...

I am sure if Pakistan would have won the World cup none of indian will be giving greetings. History statistics show the record which contry won more matches:)

Hearty congratulations to India for winning the competition. Obviously with half of my mates here being Indian I was supporting Pakistan but it is only too fitting that, as an Englishman, I still backed the losing side, despite us not even being in the final.

The win was thoroughly deserved. Beating England, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan on the way through was no small feat. Indian cricket is great to watch at the moment; both with old favourites coming to the end of their years and with great prospects for the future.

Incidentally: anyone else begin the tournament with a completely snobbish attitude towards the 20-20 game only to be transfixed by almost every game? I'm a complete convert. It may lack the subtelty of test cricket but in the same way its ok to sometimes enjoy a cheese burger and still appriciate good steak, I'm already looking forward to England 2009.

Be lucky.

Joe.

Pakis are overconfident when they say they have better balling attack. Indians showed that they have better ballers now. I congratulate the Indian balling attack.

Mallu kandan is growing with its tentacles in the world.... The malabaris particularly in Qatar work for monetary interests not home countries... Most of them in the Arab world are simple outcomes of westernization.... Not anything more

About a malabari being in every corner of the world !!!

For the gentleman who has expressed his suspicion about bookies being involved or whatever, can start a separate thread - something like "was the t20 final fixed ?" Then we can reply to him !!!

Misbah thought he was sending the ball to a place where there was no one. He did not know that there is a malabari in every corner of the world ;)

You have used Paki word in your message. This is a racist word in UK and like it or not, it is also used for Indians by racists. So be careful or you would offend someone.

India won !!

pakistan lost

Please stick to the topic. If you don't like cricket, don't get involved! It's simple!

Back to the cricket - Well done to India & Pakistan for a great final. Either team could have won! Question - is 20/20 here to stay & do you prefer 20/20 to the one day version?

It was Pathan and RP who caused the damage to Pakistan teams batting order. Opening was crased by RP Singh and later the middle order was destroyed by Irfan Pathan. It was a good shot decided by Misbah, however he could not time it well. No luck its fate.

MAY BE HISTORY OF NOT BEATING INDIA IN WORLD CUP WAS IN MISBAH'S MIND. HE TRIED TO WRITE A NEW HISTORY WITH THAT FOOLISH SHORT AND BECAME A HISTORY HIMSELF.

BUT FULL CREDIT TO INDIA THE WAY THEY PLAYED IN THIS TOURNAMENT.

Anyways cheers to the Team...

Rite Misbah's overconfidence was there. At the same time victory was very near for pakistan.Anyway Dhony's decisions were rite except for 17th and 18th overs in which sreesanth and harbhajan had given a number of runs.but the vicket taken by sreesanth and the last catch was great.otherwise the victory would be with pakistan..........

i dont particularly have a craze for cricket. infact i hate cricket sometimes because i think its bcoz of cricket that people dont gove imprtance to any other sports. but nothing can stop me from watching india pak match. that too a final. apun ka bachon played very well. they would have been shot to death if they dint return with the cup. we shud appreciate all of them for wat they have did

It was only his (Misbah's) mistake...he was so cool on this shots which made him over confident...
