We logged on to google earth, found our old house in the UK and it was so clear that we could see the pond in the garden (even in the shade of the house) and the new owners car in the drive.

Amazing!

Assuming this is a male site!!!was back in Scotland with husband on leave and was told about google earth,and saurprisingly managed to take them to the (site) we live in?

I am a big fan of Google Earth - and they recently (last month or so?) updated their photos of some of Doha... it's now much more detailed/ higher resolution - very cool!

I don't think so. I found ones of Saudi and Bahrain. There is a section on Qatar amongst his photo's but no aerial shots I think.

If you want a good aerial map of Qatar and Doha, you can download Google Earth. It's old, so doesn't show much of the newer construction going on, but definately worth a look. :)

Moonbeam - did you end up finding any aerial photos of Doha? I'd love to see them if you did... :)

I know, amazing huh? I actually ran into his site when I googled Aerial photography to see if I could find some recent aerials of Doha. Seeing his pics has brought back alot of memories.

It is really a big collection of amazing photos, this guy been to so many places and didn't leave a small detail, I checked my city Alexandria's photos and most or even all the names written there are correct, a very good job...
