Hence the juxtaposition of the word 'good' to the word 'walk', and the inclusion of the word spoiled parallel to the first word 'golf'.

Golf, the subject, is the thing the spoils what he considers to be a good walk.

If you 'played' golf without the clubs, holes, balls etc, it would become...just a good walk, which is what he likes.

If he said 'A good walk is golf, spoiled', then yes, you would be right.

But you are wrong.

This is by no means fair to be named a sport unless when you are 70+ years old or more.

It does require strength to swing and get the ball far.. and the rest of the time walk towards the hole.. but this is it.
