How to resolve this issue? Air Ticket

Good morning.
Hope all is well.
One of my friend from US was here for COP 18. She is travelling to Cambodia by Srilankan Airlines. She purchased this ticket from http://www.cheapflights.com/.
Her original flight was on 7th. We went to airport but airline people told her that her ticket number doesnt exist in their computer. SHe called the agent and they asked 250 USD more to change the flight(thought it was not her mistake but wanted to fly ASAP) and they give her another ticket with the same airline but again she was not allowed to board the flight last night because they dont have that ticket number in their system.
Did anyone of u had the same issue? How did you deal with it?
this is the negative of buying tickets online. When you are stuck with some issue , there will be none to talk to and resolve except the website !!!!
You go for cheap you get peanuts...but here she didnt even get peanuts...lols
Yeah I am not sure whose mistake is it? Airlines system or the agent carelessness?
All those cheap are not good.
Yes, it happen sometime with that website. It should better to book directly with Airline.
Many friends of mind got the same proplem sometime they charge some extra for crazy reason but, u have no choice coz u already paid some then u have to let it go and pay extra.
Yeah but they are trustworthy agents in US. She used them few times before and never had a problem.
Its look like scam, how the hell is not registered to airport airline system? first of all at the begining of tentative flight scheds its already in the system.
