Gentle Massage by your partner on the neck and whole body with good oil and later having shower together with the partner in warm water will defenatley give you a sound sleep....:)
Relaxing your body and your mind is a great basic way to fall in and stay asleep. Cleanse your body and free your mind from thoughts. A lukewarm soak in camomile or lavender bath would be good. Except of course if you have underlying serious problem, in that case, you need professional help...see the doctor!

for my kids the car engine sound is magical for them as they fall asleep whenever we are going somewhere especially the long distance places

God, I wish I could enjoy this... I don't know how, but for me it works like ON/OFF button with an alarm clock. I simply see the wall clock for the time and tell my mind i need to get up at the time I want to get up and put my head on the pillow and OFF it goes. The next thing I know is urgent call by nature excately at the time I wanted to get up.
LOL. avoid caffeine & Im drinking 2-3 cups of coffee at night..:(
I'm listening meditation sounds like a river flowing before i sleep and it really made me relaxed and eventually make my sleep better..
