They agree to it........ because its not like they have choice now do they?

I would like to bring out the quote of Tommy Lee Jones in a movie in which he says, "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it!"

So if the lesser people take the decesions the majority follow and obey!

Everyone is simply wishing for Chaos to happen!

If only people were as open minded as "COCKNEY"...

Hats off to you sir!

COLT MAJORITY is not 6/10 its 10/10

if 60 people agree i qatar and 40 dont that makes it world wide

Qatar 2/10 would agree

do the math u may understand what i mean

@ Colt 1) the extreme climatic conditions here in June/July when the tournament is held(no,for the millionth time, the date CAN'T be changed to accomodate Qatar) & yes,i know the stadiums will be air conditioned, but as the head of the US bid asked Mr. Bin Hammam,"are you going to air condition the whole country?"

2) The extremely conservative Qatari culture.

3) The logistical challenge/nightmare it will be to have a few hundred thousand fans within a 25kms. radius

All logical reasons which neither Qatar's billions, their skill or their determination can overcome...have you ever wondered why no other Gulf country has ever bid for this event?...money,skill & determination you say,Kuwait & Saudi aren't short of any of those & mind you,Qatar discovered gas yesterday, compared to Kuwait & Saudi who've been earning billions from oil for decades now...& have a much more educated/qualified local population...

6 out of 10 is majority already... and my question to you was why can Qatar not "have" a WC here. It's besides the point whether they get it or not, but they can surely host a WC if they want to.

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2010 12:57

Colt to think of it from an expat point of view

You cannot have a world cup for ample reasons

U may have the technology but your own people dont support you .... 6/10 people support qatar to win the bid 4 of them dont want it here

You cant win a BID that way Australia likely to take it

that's good news, Qatar will be even more 'modernized' to cope with the demands of such huge event! howeber it will surely give an opportunity for the landlord/realtors to increase flat rent! overall standard cost of living soar high...

why not Leon? Nothing is impossible if you have the money, skill and determination.

Qatar is bound to loose the BID so dont hype it up

You can never have a world cup here.

You need to change EVERYTHING

Accommodation is not a mater. It will be more better, as two can share one room if they are living alone.

"Bin Hammam said he'd never heard of sports daily Marca, which reported him saying that Qatar and 2018 candidate Spain-Portugal would support each other's bid."

Qatar officials have never heard of "MARCA". Phew some footy expert eh? I think this bid is "Doomed Captain Mannering, Doomed".

Hope they win it though. :-)

don't worry, it won't happen. the only way qatar would have won the bid is if they had bribed members of the voting committee. and we all know they would never do that.
