Hi everyone

Nurse

Wonder if anyone knows where is the best place to work as a nurse in Qatar. I'm a single british nurse thinkin about working there. Is it a good idea for a woman alone, can i go out at night or will i have to walk around in a shroud, or is it best if i do to save getting hit on by creepy sex starved men! And can we drink in pubs or do we have to be separated?

Nurse, good luck with your job searching! Also think that you would enjoy Dubai more than Doha. Me, not having much fun here, but things are bound to improve...

Anyways, just for the record, I'm not a kinky veg loving ballerina. :0)

Nurse much as I hate to discourage you, you will have a far better time in Dubai (that said you won't save as much money as there is more to do). Have you tried looking for a job there?

I have spent a fair bit of time in hospitals here recently (rugby injuries) and there are very few western nurses in Hamad ( I saw none).

Have you looked at Weill Cornell medical college? I know they pay a lot but not sure if they need nurses.

If you do come visit rugby club. Lots of people happy to help there.

By the way the picture is a cornish fairy from Harry Potter. Cute not creepy!!

Trying to read the message on the side from teddygirl but it wont let me so I'll reply to teddy this way. I'm not out there yet just me and another adventure girl looking in to qatar to earn some money for more fun travelling around the world and also to see of course what qatar has to offer. So any help on where the best places to work as a nurse are and also the best places to live would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Just one thing Super7 why choose the creepy pervy looking alien then;). Chheers Giasi i'll look into the hamad hospital. Any other nurses out there?

How was the football did anyone have a coronary? You all sound fun but do you have fun in the world out there. If so what do you all do? And how long have you been there for kinky ballerina butterfly?

Yeah I know. My reply is meant to be jokey as well. Difficult when just typing to get meaning.

I am not creepy Butterfly. It wasn't me going on about vegetables. Girls can't be creepy it seems anyway so that's unfair.

Anyway give me a break you said you were a vegetable loving kinky ballerina and she is a nurse. These are two classic fantasy type things. I am bound to be excited by that s3x starved or not

Single British nurse!!! Awesome. You will get hit on a lot I'm afraid but most girls seem to manage pretty well.

I had a friend (irish) who was a nurse in UAE and she was thinking of moving here. she seemed to think Hamad Hospital was the best option. But i think there are others on here who may have more info.

Qatar is a very safe part of the world. However, you will have to get used to being stared at alot. There are very few women out and about so when one is spotted she arouses interest :)

You can wear what you like, you just use your common sense on whats appropriate depending on what time it is and where youre going.

There are several drinking holes (and licensed restaurants) in virtually every hotel. Separated? if you mean men and women.. no.

hope that helps... plus... there are alot of good posts on the site you will find useful.

Respect

GIASI
