With the Qatar National Day looming above us, the whole country is getting ready to celebrate it in style.

The National Day, this year falls on a Friday and the question as to whether Thursday or Sunday would be deemed as a public holiday is in everybody’s minds right now.

Most schools have informed that tomorrow would be a holiday for the staff and the students. However, the residents have this year too begun to prepare avidly for the National Day celebrations.

One of our news posts titled “National Day preparations are on full swing in Qatar” would depict that shops and supermarkets have been getting a brisk business of flags, national day costumes, scarves and etc.

And of course, for the Star Wars fans out there, the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” releasing over the weekend would be another ideal head start for the celebrations ahead.

In the midst of all this, numerous events and programmes have been planned out by many organizations in different areas in the country for the public.

The Corniche-

Better if you can specify weather events are only for families or also individuals can attend. Last week I and my friend went to Darb Al-Saai ground, and security guards are stopped at door as they say it is only for families. It was bad experience. Please mention if events only for families so that we don't have to waste our time.
