India , BANGALORE: One year into an affair with a 57-year old businessman, Suguna learnt two things: that he was stinking rich, and she could use him to make some quick money. So she set up a honeytrap, with a little help from friends.
For Suguna, 31, and five of her associates - Geeta, 32, Arun, 25, Anil Kumar, 26, Rajesh, 25, and S Manikanthan, 24 — the honeytrap proved expensive, though. They were arrested for blackmail and kidnap by Kengeri police on Thursday.
Suguna's affair with her sugar daddy began after she came in contact with him while visiting a relative living in the same building as he did. She befriended him during her frequent visits, and this led to an affair.
A year on, Suguna came up with a plan to extract money from him. As per the plan, she contacted him on Thursday and asked him to meet her in Attibele to "spend some time in private". He soon arrived at the Attibele bus stop on his two-wheeler and took Suguna to Venkateshwara lodge in Kaiwara nearby, where they were to spend the night. Then, Suguna's plan went into action.
As they were safely ensconced in the lodge room, three of her accomplices, who were following them in a car, barged in. They made the moneylender remove four gold rings and demanded Rs 50 lakh for an 'honourable release'. They then drove him off to Kodipalya near Kengeri.
In Kengeri, he was made to remove his clothes and photographed with Suguna. The group threatened to publish these photos, unless he paid up Rs 50 lakh { 300,000 Qrs }. The frightened moneylender made several calls to his friend Subramani, asking him to get the money near Rajarajeshwari Hospital in Kengeri.
However, sensing something fishy in his desperate calls for money, Subramani informed the police control room. Cops in mufti landed up where at the agreed spot, and the entire gang was taken into custody. timesnews.15.03.14.

Matured, because he trusted a woman ..... plainly .
Respectable, because he didn't have any hidden agenda as opposed to the woman.
