HeLLooo FoLkS....!!!!!
Hi everyone.....
I dropped in to say 'Hello'......n catch up on qatar. Just got back after a great vacation....!!!!! N Qatar is burning hot for the places I went to...... Now have to settle for the all time routine of work and home....
Life in Qatar get monotonous after the intitial few days especially for expats. Its depressing especially if you don't have much of a social life.
Anyways hope everyones having a nice time....good day!!!
so u think the plae is impressive ?. hey can you do me a favour and ask around among your freinds abot this place, soorry fr troubling you but would like to know more about it.
well i hope i really get time to watch tv as u said , its quite busy here that it keeps me away al the time, hope i can realx and have a blast at doha lol.
h
I've seen the hospital from outside.....its one of the biggest private hospitals in Doha with minimum patients is what i heard.....not because its bad but simply becoz its like a five star hospital....highly expensive....i think you'll have a lot of time to watch tv and explore doha:) ....mind you....this is what i heard and don't really know what the place is like. but I believe it pays well.

gurujiiii you are a relief yaaar. anyway i am sure i will settle down after the initial hiccoughs. hey mizz do u have any idea how Al ahli hosptal is? have you seen the hospital or ever passed by?
Thanx paul! and don't push yourself so hard doctvm...I think when you arrive here you'll find friends and settle down faster than you think you'll be able to. So take it easy dude!!!!! It's your guruji speaking...! :)

Hi miz4ever,
Welcome back to Qatar!!!
regards
paul
Hey doc...
There are quite a few indian joints here in Doha...But i've been here for the last 26 years and have seen the slow changes in opening new joints....
On an average a decent eat out experience for indian food wud cost around QAR 15 to QAR 25 and also depending upon wht u choose to eat....A normal veg thali that u get at the Garden rest. is abt that much too...
But to let u know the truth i'm actually bored with the indian food here and may be it's tht i dine out too often....i luv authentic indian food but u'll notice that some of the indian joints here have an arabic taste to it...it's definitely not "nadan" as i wud luv to call it...
Once u get here i can surely help u with the chain of restaurants that u cud try n let ur taste buds go mmmmm...
Cheers bro.
For a normal meal out of home the rate's nominal like 10 to 25QRs depending on where & what you eat....but one thing I have to caution u...do not convert the amount into indian rupees because then you'll find everything very expensive here:) Usually thats one thing most indians who come here for the first time do....
wow 15 years there , you are quite my senior and i should call you gurujii lol, kidding yaar but its nice read ur comments and i too hope i have a real blast at doha , though my job wont permit me to blasy away jus like that.so wher s ur family? are they not in doha too?
hey just tell me for an average guy having 2 eat out most of time hwo much wil cost of living come to. iam not planning2eat in 5 star hotels - average indian food .
I've been in qatar for fifteen years now...so u can imagine why i say it gets alone....I'm working...hope you have a blast here.....gud luck!!!
thanks cool for that welcome . i am feeling more comfortable nw, so it will be somhwhat like home lol.
from construction sites to cabs to hotels to tea shops to aircraft maintenence and to GM's....yep...they are all over actually....and trust me more than u know english,it wud be great if u know malayalam.....tht says it all...
and then u have the LULU Hypermarket where if u step in u r sure to find missing relatives and ur long lost friends...great working force...must say and hats off to these guys....
Cheers doctvm and Welcome to Doha....
well i am sure i will enjoy life there as life back in kerala is also monotomous so maybe a chnage for sometime.i am mentally getting ready 2 come in terms with lonliness and since u said a large indian and es malayali community is there i will catch few freinds for sure hopefully.
are u working or studying
Ummmm.....Doha is a secure and lucrative. A large indian community (majority being malayalees) is also an advantage. Don't heed my exprssion about social life because i just got back from India and its depressing to be off the hook from your country...all the parties, weddings and blah...blah...blah.....thats all. I just had a short stay and my folks are still there so am a little frustrated cause I'm so used to having them around here. Qatar's got loads and loads of malayalees....so don't worry.
In the long run life gets very monotonous here....its always better to have family around....
thanks aish for the welcome , from what you people say i am sure i will enjoy my stay. thanks again
Doctvm, wish you happy stay in Doha :-) Don't worry too much.
