'Halal Search Engine’

Good news for all religious poeple who thought internet is Haram:)

The first ‘Halal Search Engine’ is launched in UK. This search engine is intended to provide a safe option to potential Muslim internet users who might previously have avoided the internet for some of its less wholesome content. As the Internet use is increasing in Mideast and the North African countries, Imhalal.com is a solution for the Muslims users have stayed away due to religious concerns. The search engine will not return results considered haram, forbidden, and only show results that are halal, approved, under Muslim religious law.

There is an interting story of a poor woman trying to research on her recent diagnosis of breast cancer, and ever search engine from the public library denied access.

We are now relying on some one telling us what we can search for.......

Not every one seaches for Porn.... (atleast not all the time). Much of the research is genuine, then there QL!!

Even a clean site can have some kind of insertions in between the lines, not the IP address itself.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Let's assume that a person searches for "big Boobies" and the search engine comes back with a warning..

It may just prick his contience to say to himself that "I shouldn't be doing this"

No harm and some benefit..

True Jack they're going to need an army of site censors... but then again, labour is cheap...

And what if one searched and found non-halal stuff?...

If people can bypass Qtel then this too is not too tough to crack!

At least this would be iconic, not neccessary potrays what these islamic guys will be surfing. On the contrarary, just how would one be reading something halfway and abandon the rest for haram.

By baldrick2dogs• 3 Sep 2009 11:48
baldrick2dogs

Even using Google, common sense should tell you that if you search for, say, "hadith" and the result comes back "hot big boobed black mama" don't frickin click the link!
