Hair a mess
Before I came to Qatar people warned me that I might have a problem with my hair. They said it was something about the water. Well I have travelled all over the world and have never had a problem with my hair (except in the Maldives) and so I didn't take too much notice. But my goodness! I have only been here since beginning September and two terrible things have happened...to start with, my hair is a tangled mat after I have washed it and I have to slather it in conditioner to get it straight...but even worse...my hair has started to fall out!!! I am in shock. Now people I meet say, "Yes, of course it is the water", but I have yet to find anyone who can tell me why, or what to do about the problem...my haidresser has not been much help. So, please, someone do help me out here before I go bald!
my dear...you should have looked at the blog on hair fall...but i can tell you the answer, which is something i found out quite a while ago...there is a fabulus shampoo called permea plus antisal and i have been using it over 1 yr. now. no more troubles with my hair...stopped falling...easy to wash...no tangling. get it from a pharmacy n if they dont have it tell them to get it...they will!!
wow good idea (mary) Since my own hair has been going through the same thing as well and its so stressful sometimes i just wash it and put it in a bun, i used to straighten my hair all the time but stopped for a few months now to see what the real people was but its still the same and its so annoying!installing a water filter that attaches to a shower head is a great idea
Hmmm....my hair is thicker and grows so fast here. From very short to nearly below shoulder length in 14 months! Maybe I'm just lucky?
ur hair loss problem can be coz of many reason go to khan saboon they are in city centre may be souq waqif too but city centre im sure my sis had this problem she used products from khan saboon it helped her
The water from the tap is desalinated - it still contains traces of salts and minerals even though it is safe to drink (if you choose to). Your hair isn't falling out, it's breaking off close to your scalp.
You can use bottled water to help counteract this or you can get a water filter installed that attaches to your shower head.

I had the same problem. Now I go to my salon for treatments. It's much softer and doesn't look so brittle. I hate spending the time and the $$$, but it's better than having FRIED or NO hair. Also, HATS are a must at the pool/beach.
Its the chlorine in the recycled waste water which is also a part of the supplied water for domestic consumption. Try using bottled water for head wash.
I am going through this me self >_< i feel your pain here Where i found the solution in was in keeping my hair moisturised , not letting it stay dry for long, hot oil helps , not exposing it to external heat(hair iron , blow dryer >_<that seem's to tone it down a bit . But still not the solution .... its the weather and the water >.<No hiding from it .i would like to know if some one out there knows the trick to solving this me self >_<nows the trick to solving this me self >_<
with bottled water if water is the issue, but i think there is also something to do with the weather here, humidity, temperature with what your scalp exposed...etc
