I am trying to decide .We need a second car and between H3 and Prado. We got the price for H3 QR 119,000but Toyota didn't have any Prado in show room,so I am in the dark there.I need a good size SUV because I am very tall(ex women probasketball player) plus got car seat(got twins). What would be the better choice?Any advice?I never drove any of them ,I definetely want it to have power weel.

Don't know about H3......Don't like the shape anyhow.

Have a MRV and I am quite happy with it...It is quite spacious and very reliable.

I will try that. Are any of the dealer shops open on Friday?Do I have to wait till Saturday to go look?

If you're interested in the Prado and the main dealer is out of stock try their affiliates. There's one on Al Sadd street across from Q-Tel. There are a couple of others too.

Now you know why Toyota don't care much about giving discounts.

is the car I recently bought. I made testdrives with the Hummer H3, Nissan Pathfinder, Dodge Durango, BMW X3. The Honda MR-V was the car with the best view, easiest handling, enough horsepower and so on. Price 129000 QR, full option, 2 years insurance.

The MR-V was the best Car to go for. And, I´m very happy with this SUV.

I saw Fortuner in the show room and just didn't care for design,Prado has much nicer look.Fortuner cheaper, they told as around QR 109,000

What is the recommendation older model Prado or Newer model TOYOTA FORTUNER. The fortuner looks very nice and if I am not mistaken it still seats 7

We got Land Rover Freelander ,I think .I am looking for the smooth drive,Land Rover is not.I know Toyota is good but guess what?We went car shopping tonight and there no Prado available!By the way, they did not discontinued it,they told us 2007 coming in 3 months.Too long for me!Anybody selling Prado?I will by used one if no new available.I will try to test drive H3 and see,in case I won't like it should I go for Pajero?

the Land Rover Discovery 3 (or LR3 in some markets). Its a 7 seater, a genuinely capable 4x4, has Range Rover quality without the 'Cartier Polo uppity' pretentiousness, has pedigree, looks damn good, easy to drive, solid, reasonably quick, extremely comfortable, has great resale value, and most of all... a great safety record.

Is it obvious I own one??

Seriously.. this really should be one of your options if you're actually considering an H3!

Go for the Prado. Every time. No question. Practical, solid, unpretentious.

Prado is unfortunately not produced any more..so you could get 2005/2006 models at a discounted price..and add 30% depreciation the moment you drive out of the showroom due to discontinued model...

Out of the two..definitely Prado...If neither then..I would add the HONDA MRV or the Nissan Pathfinder....Both equally reliable and excellent resale values...

You can also have a look at the cheaper but newer TOYOTA FORTUNER..(QR 111,000)

Depends what you want. If you want a practical, well built, reliable 4X4 with good resale value then the prado.

If you want a badly assembled, pretentious, over the top pimpmobile, then the H3 is what you need :P

My friend recently bought a Prado, and she is very happy. Other than that I can't say much, I never tried H3, I drive a smallish sports car :)
