Good parent or bad ?
parenting is not easy at the best of times. There are no manuals..
What say you about this lady?
is she wrong ? Can the baby be harmed ?

A MUM sparked outrage by taking her four-month-old baby to a rave.
Sarah-Jane Hulme, 41, was blasted as “irresponsible” for taking son Django to the boozy gig , but last night insisted she had done nothing wrong.
Sarah-Jane was pictured cradling Django beside dancing revellers at an ear-splitting drum and bass gig.
She put ear defenders on her baby, but worried ravers still raised concerns with cops.
Sarah-Jane said she had done nothing wrong, and it was the THIRD time she had taken him to a gig.
She said: “I breast-feed him so he has to be with me. In France or Spain, parents are encouraged to take their kids to music festivals.
Other mums reacted with fury when snaps of her were posted online, branding Sarah-Jane “disgraceful” and “irresponsible”.
Siobhan Freegard, of parenting site Netmums, said: “Anyone taking a baby to a rave is raving mad. A four-month-old needs calm, not booming music, strobe lights and rowdy partygoers. If you want to go out, get a babysitter.”
But Sarah-Jane insisted she would never endanger her son.
She said: “I couldn’t leave him with anyone as he needs to be breast-fed every couple of hours. I don’t think I’ve been irresponsible at all.”
Police said they were liaising with social services.

Can never say if it maybe the norm in her family. My husband's family back in Sri lanka is like this. They would have even the little kids at all these boozy dos. And once one toddler, a cousin's baby, fell into a vat of boiling coffee, killing her instantly =( Thus the mother in the OP, unawares to her of course, maybe endangering her baby if she continues this way!
No I don't think Social services should be involved. She just needs a good talking to about the dangers of taking her infant to a crowded rave, even with ear protection.
Good parenting is all about putting children first. So if the environment was not good for the baby then she should have avoided it in the first place.
Looks like baby was a second preference in this case, an example of not so good parenting. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, I wont call her a Bad Parent based on this event alone.
I think like the carrefour guy she was having her hormonal changes :P
Maybe she is suffering from mental related problems living in western culture need referral from good doc
don't know the way she herself was brought up ..
But obviously didn't intend on harming her baby. At most she should simply get some counselling on better child care.
she put ear protection to her son,...
social services needed,.. idont think so,.
was the baby boy hurt in anyway,.. no
what about all those irresponsible parrent here in Doha who drive arround town (on high speed) with their kids walking arround in the car or hanging out the windows,..that is irresponsible,..
i just cant understand why dont they follow and be decent like our highness nomerci
Stupid is the word,I'd say.
she might be a little brain damaged or too ignorant, but wont say she intended to harm the baby
Irresponsible for sure, Mothers need to sacrifice a lot when the kids are small..providing food..cloths and shelter is not the ONLY responsibility of a mother!!
If it is hazardous to the child's health why cant the social service intervene?
ha ha ha incredible
good that the baby was not grown up to know that her mother is crazy
A side issue comes to mind.
Should social services be involved ? After all, she has not commited a crime or abused the child ..
Bad parent. She's 41, she should know better. If you want to go to raves put him on a bottle and get a babysitter, if you want to breastfeed do it somewhere appropriate!
