Gold’s Gym is closing,

It is sad to hear that Gold’s Gym is closing, apparently due to disputes inside director board. The institute is now run by a court appointed liquidator and no one knows about the future. They are not accepting any new members or renewing existing memberships. Can any one suggest a good gym. I don’t prefer FitnessFirst in City Center since parking is a nightmare.

alternatives are always available:

1. relocate into a compound with club house

2. get married (if you are not) and have more than 1 wife if you have the guts. also get some 5 gfs as a side order

3. I can contribute by giving free access to my garden. you can do the gardening work free of charge.

4. last but not least. ask RedPope about the secret of his fitness

Davidak89, aspire doesn't have a GYM, does it?... only classes, at least for ladies. classes are always overcrowded... girls are coming 1 hour prior to the class and wait in the queue in order to get admitted to the class...Studio designed for 15-20 gals is usually filled in with 25-30 of them, and even more.. and anyway, I realized that only machines can help you to stay in shape.. not any useless jumping...

I was told that Fitness First is QR400 per month with registration fee waived as opening offer. Parking is a problem, so I dunno. Initially, I wanted to join but don't think I'd go that far regularly - work 6 full days anyway. Decided to do something else...

Lame that your gyms closing. I go to aspire which is pretty average, and i'm guessing that's a bit far for you to travel, are the gyms in town any good? They don't seem to be too big on fitness/weight lifting here which sucks.

Actually i am not surprised that Golds is closing down finally, i have been a member there for more than a year n half, and sometime last year before i ended my membership, GoldsGym really started to change its strategy, which affected all members. Firstly the best coaches were fired and sent home, there was soo many memebers and hardly any coach to take care of them, The Steam and Sauna were badly maintained and half of the time not working, and the Jacuzzi i believe till date has never been fixed. So in the end a person paying a whopping 1200 for 3 months dint make any sense.

I was close to one of the instructors and he informed me that some nasty issues are going amongst the owners / partners and most probably they would shut down.

I hope we have something better coming up soon inside Doha. If someone has been a member at GoldsGym for atleast a year or two ago, they would agree with me that it was the best thing in Doha and for 999 bucks for 3 months and facilities it was a killer deal till things turned around ...

If any one does know of any good gym as Golds please share with us ...

Maybe build your own gym?

Luckily, I have created my own mini gym in my TV room...

could only afford a wind bike ... but better than nothing. The caution is "no weight above 100kgs", I think. Luckily it hasn't broken down yet. Touch wood!

OH no! my muscles are suffering a financial crisis.....

The problem is I think you’re an overeducated, 27-year-old virgin who holds the hands of superstitious old women and promises them eternity.

Thank you, Hasan. I put a question mark, because I was not sure.

Dear MD. This has got nothing to do with the financial crysis. This is a greed crysis between the partners. Which actually, is simillar to the financial crysis.
