The G8 meeting has agreed that green house gases need to be cut.

Stopping gas flaring would solve a big part of the problem, the worst offenders are Russia and Africa with huge amounts of gases being flared and the heat is visible from space with thermal imaging. e46M3, I hear Bush has a bad tummy today - hope he gets better soon. I think the american people are getting very environmentally aware - they are the biggest buyer of hybrid vehicles so guess they must have a concern. If enough people show commitment then the leaders at G8 will have to take initiative - sure Bush will want the green voters as they seem to be growing in number.

I think the US has finally moved forward on this issue. While not going as far as as signing on to a binding deal ( no one did), the US position is now committed to a climate change deal, something it had long resisted.
