just get a WD as I have this one since August 2006 and up to now working fine, regardless of falling so many times ... still working. Maxtor got a factory defect, the HD won't even warn you ... Hey dude ... I'm falling ... I'm havign trouble ... It would just fall like a rock out of nowhere in front of you and there is no way to fix it so far ...
Branded WD will cost something around 400 to 500 for the 120 - 160 GB ...
The good thing about the others, you can buy a SATA hard disk which is far faster than the IDE bus connector ... and the price would be almost the same.
You have to go to the right shop to get it, otherwise they will make you spend more ...

we have maxtor and western digital. Had a problem with maxtor few years back cant access the file and have to buy a software call 'file scavenger' to fix it. Never have problem with western digital. If we need another one will defenitely buy western digital again.

Get a western digital hard drive if u want to go for a branded one.
Btw if u dont mind having a big hard drive. go for a 250 gigs for 320 riyals.
